They call him the wolf.
A genetically manipulated human being, created to be connected to another person by DNA, to protect them with his life.
The wolves were conceived and born like any other human from a biological mother and father, but genetically manipulated while still in the foetal stage. They are known as the modern day version of a mythical werewolf, with the instincts and senses mixed with the human features, impossible to be distinguished from average humans.
Once conceived, the wolves are linked to other unborn children, normally those of wealthy descent, chosen individually by the parents. The wolves and unborn children are linked by DNA, giving the un-manipulated children a few stray characteristics from the wolf, unpreventable and unchangeable. This results in the two sharing a bond, tethered together for the entirety of their human lifespan.
But when I was conceived and connected to him, things didn't turn out as they had planned. They never expected two bonded children to grow up so opposite, two children who learned to despise each other, and we were deemed what appeared to be a failed experiment.
I am the wolf's girl.
