It was announced that Mephone4 simply didn't have a competition idea, and didn't bother thinking hard enough to make one. So, he proceeded to give a free day for the contestants to do whatever they wanted. Coincidently, Clover got an idea and decided to set up a place to hangout for her and Cabby to chill for a bit—to take a break, and to relax for a while. She made sure it would be a nice day for the both of them!

A quiet hum filled the air, the grass swaying softly as the sound of soft footsteps could be heard all around the island. Clover had spent the majority of the morning setting up a special spot in the island for a specific someone, because clearly, she had nothing better to do. She had the whole day to herself, so she decided to use it wisely.
With the help of the pix-nix tables and some other...unmentioned contestants, she was able to make a small picnic area! It was simple, more comfortable than fancy. It wasn't for any special occasion, so she didn't bother making it too cluttered. Just a few snacks in a small basket, and a blanket placed on the ground. She took quite a bit to set up the place, since she had so many ideas, but the final product was good enough.
She made sure to keep the timing perfect, telling Cabby to meet up with her in the afternoon, just so that they could stare at the sunset while they hung out, since they normally didn't have
Cabby walked to the area Clover told her to meet up at, seeing Clover's little butterflies flapping around behind Clover. They were odd, but cute in a way, so Cabby didn't particularly mind too much. She got closer to the place, stopping in her tracks as she silently admired the area.
"Hello!! I'm glad you made it in time!" Clover waved, patting the area beside her as a gesture for Cabby to sit down next to her. Cabby curiously followed, settling on the checkered cloth on top of the grass.
"You set this up?"
"Yah! Just wanted to y'know..." She trailed off for a moment, "Make a spot for us to watch the sunset and relax for a bit—'Cause I know we both need it!"
Cabby blinked, smiling out of instinct. "I can tell you worked hard on it," She wasn't lying. Even if the setup was simple, it seemed like Clover really thought about it while setting it up. Cabby couldn't help but feel a warmth in her body at the thought.
A giddy feeling went through her whole body, resulting in her making a grin. "Hehe, you can?"
They both shared conversations—Clover mostly rambling on about the past challenges and such—while Cabby mostly listened, jotting down notes for definitely no reason. Most of them were lighthearted conversations, and it helped Cabby to relax after having some slight stress in her system from the past events.
Clover reached for the basket, grabbing a small snack and nibbling on it as a comfortable silence filled the area. Cabby stared into the sunset, seeing the little butterflies flap around in her vision. As soon as she spotted them, she immediately switched to her usual rambling mode.
"Did you know," Cabby started in a matter-of-fact tone, "That butterflies actually have transparent wings? The colors and patterns on their wings are just light reflecting off of the scales on it."
Clover paused her munching, glancing at Cabby in curiosity. "Wait really? I thought they were just colorful by nature..."
"Nope. It's just the scales that give the wings color. And speaking of, female butterflies can actually mimic the wings of poisonous butterflies as a defense mechanism. Sometimes males can, but the majority of the time, it's females."
"I was expecting us to have silly conversations, but I guess this works well too!"
"Well, I'm just...very fixated on butterflies. Any insects, for that matter." Cabby was lost in thought for a bit, another fact popping into her mind.
"Butterflies also taste with their feet, because they have taste buds on there. There's also some taste buds on their antenna and proboscis, but they use their feet often when they want to determine the flower they want."
Clover stared at Cabby for a hot moment, slightly bewildered at the fact, "They can taste with...their feet? I've been with these guys for months, and I don't know that?!"
"I guess ya just don't know your facts." She let out a small amused laugh, stealing a glance at the beaming, gorgeous sunset.
"Well, you wouldn't mind telling me more, right? I know you're filled with these things!"
Cabby blinked, processing what she said. Someone is actually letting her rant? Well, yes, sometimes she has the opportunity to rant, but this time, someone actually wanted to listen! Of course she wouldn't say no to a sweetheart like her.
"Ah—sure! Let me think for a moment..."
It eventually turned into a rambling session for Cabby, and it actually helped calm down her nerves for a moment. But, the hangout came to an end. Clover promised Cabby they would do this again when they could, which Cabby hoped she would keep her promise. If she was lucky, of course. Hehe.
