A/N: It's so late but i'm not tired at all so here's this! I've been in my monthly mourning period for one direction, so if you relate then cry with me.
Louis' POV:
This was the start of it all. He kissed me in the elevator and I went to bed with a hard on. There really truly was no going back now.
We were getting on a plane this morning, flying over to Mullinger, Niall's home town. Naturally he was excited, and word was there was to be a welcome parade for us as soon as we landed. As grateful for it as I was, I was kind of peeved that I couldn't just get off an airplane in peace, looking a mess and not worrying about it.
Nonetheless, we boarded the plane, taking only an hour or so to get to there. I took the quickest nap on the plane, then was forced to wake up and freshen up 15 minutes before we landed.
Sure enough, there was a whole fucking stampede of people waiting outside the airport for us. With security already there, getting to the car was relatively seamless. We signed autographs and shook hands with the people up against the barricades. I noticed Harry taking extra time to speak with a young girl, not much more than 5 years old by the looks of it. She smiled all big and happy, and secretly my heart melted a little.
Niall was on top of the world, pointing out all the things he remembered from his childhood as we drove to the hotel to drop our things off. We had a good few hours to ourselves before lunch, so I decided to finally call my mom.
"Darling!" She cheered through the phone. I was now sat in my hotel suite, which was homier and more cozy than usual. I was sprawled out on the bed, phone on my chest as my mom spoke on speaker phone.
"Hey mom," I started, unsure what to say. "How are you love? I heard you and Lottie got to see each other a bit ago," She said, a small hint of jealousy. "I would've driven out there, but we hardly had the time," I lied. She hummed in response. "Yeah, you're an old man now, you've got no time for your mummsy," she said dramatically. "Tell me how you've been? How was America? How is Harry?" my heart stopped for a second. Harry?
"What about Harry?" I asked cautiously. She laughed a little. "From what I hear, you've grown quite close with him," she explained, I could hear the smile on her voice. I groaned loudly. "Mom, you can't trust every word you hear on the tabloids."
"Well the only time I know what's going on with you is through those. You won't tell me yourself," she said. I sighed. This is what I wanted to avoid. I felt so guilty, but she had a way of making everything about her. Not just that, but she also loved to pry, get in my business and stuff. I didn't blame her for wanting to be involved, but ever since my dad and her split, she's been all sorts of clingy and nosy. My sisters take the brunt of it since they're still living near her, but when I do get a chance to speak with her, it's a bit exhausting.
"Mom."
"Alright, alright, you'd tell me if you found yourself someone though, right?" She asked. I replied cautiously. "I'll keep you posted, but don't get too excited."
I ended the call, our conversation turning bleak, then laid back on my bed again. I tried to go back to bed, but I was itching to do something. Zayn was no doubt sleeping, Niall probably out catching up with family and friends, and Liam was likely using his free time to write or call his folks. That left Harry. Cursed Harry.
I pulled my phone out, too lazy to get up and search for him.
L: Busy?
I threw my phone against one of my pillows, waiting his response. For some reason I was nervous, gross.
H: Not in the slightest.
H: Why?He replied, adding a cheeky devil emoji to the end of his text. I rolled my eyes with a smirk.
