Chapter 28
It was a sunny and cheerful day as everyone prepared to board Kim's private jet. The Kardashian-Jenner family was gathered and excited for their trip to the Caribbean, where they had rented a yacht for a weekend of fun and relaxation. Kim, Tom and the kids, along with Kim's sisters Kris, Corey, nephews and nieces, were all looking forward to their time together.
As soon as the jet took off, the atmosphere was one of pure excitement. Kylie, always curious and full of questions, took the opportunity to strike up a conversation with Tom, who was sitting next to Kim and the kids.
"Tom, I have to ask... how did you meet the royal family?" Kylie said with a curious smile, leaning towards him.
Tom laughed lightly, already knowing that Kim's family always had curious and surprising questions about her past.
— Well, it was about a few years ago, at a special event that the British royals organized to celebrate the founding of the SAS — he began, as everyone paid attention. — The event was attended by members of the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, and Princes William and Harry. My team and I were invited to demonstrate the techniques we use on operations, and it turned out to be a unique experience.
Kendall, who was sitting across the aisle, heard and leaned in to join the conversation.
"You mean Queen Elizabeth? Like... the actual Queen?" she asked, impressed.
"Yes, exactly. It was quite an honor." Tom smiled. "After we did the demonstration, we were introduced to her, and she was extremely polite and friendly. They have great respect for the military, and the Queen asked us a lot of questions about what we do."
Kourtney, who had been watching the conversation intently, commented with a smile:
"So, have you ever met the royals, Tom? Not bad for our sister's boyfriend!"
Everyone laughed, and Tom continued, feeling more comfortable sharing this part of his story.
"It was an unforgettable experience. They were very interested in the stories we told about our missions, and that's how I ended up talking to Princes Harry and William. They were very curious, especially Prince William and Harry. We hit it off quickly, and we've maintained a friendship ever since. We've met a few times since then, at smaller, more private events."
Kim held Tom's hand as she listened to the story with a proud smile. She loved how Tom connected so well with her family, always patiently answering questions, even those about his past military missions and his surprising connections.
"And what was it like for you to see the Queen up close? Is she as imposing as she looks?" Khloe asked, her eyes shining with curiosity.
"She really is," Tom replied, laughing. "She exudes a very strong presence and, at the same time, is incredibly kind. But Prince Philip, he had a great sense of humor." He made a few jokes about how insane what we did in operations seemed.
By now, everyone was engaged in the conversation, laughing and asking questions. Even the kids were paying attention, delighted with the idea that Tom had met a real queen and princes.
North, especially, seemed fascinated.
"Tom, do you think the queen still remembers you?" she asked, looking at him with wide eyes.
Tom smiled at her, amused by the question.
"Who knows, North? Maybe so. The last time we saw each other, she still remembered my name, which was a great compliment for me."
Kim looked at him proudly, squeezing his hand.
"Tom, you never told me all these details. Who would have thought my boyfriend was practically friends with royalty?" she joked, making her sisters laugh.
