Chapter 8

Violets POV

We drive into the salon parking lot and I get out. I grab Cameron's hand from behind and take a picture from behind him of us walking. I post it and walk inside.
"Violet! Good to see you, is this boyfriend?" The Chinese lady asks from the front desk. We are pretty close cause I get my nails done a lot.
"I've been around, and yes. This is Cameron, my boyfriend." I say and look at him. He smiles.
"He seems very nice." She says and he smiles. I grab his hand and we go over to the nail polish colors. I pick out a Color and show it to Cameron. He nods and I go sit down. He sits in the chair next to me and goes on his phone. The process takes about an hour so I'm surprised he waited for me.
"Violet?" Cameron asks.
"Yeah?"
"Where do you want to eat for lunch?"
"Uhm. I don't know." I reply.
"My mom and Sierra asked if you wanted to go to the lake house and grill out. We can go swimming." He says smiling.
"Sure, will we get back in time to go out for dinner though?" I ask. He nods and I look at my nails.
"All done! Taahh dah!" The Chinese lady yells and shows me them.
"Thank you." I say smiling and getting up.
Cameron grabs his wallet out a bad hands the money to the girl behind the counter.
"Ooh! He's a gentleman!" She says excitedly.
"Its my birthday, he was to be nice to me." I say grabbing his hand.
"Happy birthday, Violet." He says and we walk out the door.
We drive home and pull into the drive away 10 minutes later.
I barely get in the door before Cameron pulls me aside and kisses me against the wall. I push him away and point my finger at him.
"Aren't you gonna thank me for paying for your nails?" He asks.
"Tonight." I say and he smirks. I didn't mean it like that, but tonight after dinner I was going to tell him about the house.
I go to my room and start changing into my swimsuit. Its a bikini, black with lace detail around the waist and a triangle top with a caged in back. I throw a sundress over it and change into sandals. I grab my phone and walk down the hall to the living room. Cameron is sitting on the couch. I walk up behind him and kiss him on the cheek. I sit on the other side of the L couch and take a picture of him.
"You bitch." He says when I realize my flash is on.
"Oops." I laugh and put my phone away. I get up and walk out the door, and to the main house that Gina lives in. Sierra is just gonna meet us at the lake house.
"Violet!" Gina yelled when I walked in the side door. I walk over and give her a hug.
"How are you?" She asks.
"I'm good." I said.
"Happy birthday by the way." She said.
"Thanks, Gina." I said as I say down at the counter.
"Where's Cameron?" She asked.
"He's somewhere around here. I think he's still in the house."
I text him and ask where he is.
Cameron:
-went to the store,be home soon.

"He went to the store to get something." I say and she nods.
I went to the bathroom quick and peed before we went to the lake. I walked back into the kitchen and cameron was here. Gina was looking at something in his hand. They didn't see me yet.
"She'll say yes, don't worry." I looked and saw one of those black ring boxes people put engagement rings in.
Cameron was going to purpose.
He was going to ask me to marry him.

Cameron's POV

"Do you think she will Like it?" I said showing her the box with the promise ring in it. I had my matching one in my wallet.
"She'll say yes." She nodded and smiled. I put it in my pocket.
I'm going to ask her once we get off the boat and are about to eat lunch. In front of everyone we invited. They include, some of our friend from school like Nash, Hayes and Jack (g). I probably shouldn't have invited jack but they are friends so its cool. And her friend Ashley. Ashley is the only girl I've ever really seen Violet talk to so I figured it would be good.
Violet walked back in the room and her face looked flushed.
"Are you feeling okay?" I asked taking her hand. She stood in front on me on the stool.
"I'm fine. I just had a headache." She said and sat up on the counter. My mom left the room and I sat up between her legs.
"Are you sure?" I didn't want her to be sick on her birthday, or today. I was gonna ask her officially to be my girlfriend. I bought her a promise ring.
"I said I'm fine." She said looking away from Me.
"Violet look at me." I said taking her face in my hand. I squished her face and she laughed. Her expression changed and she look my hand off her face. She looks disappointed.
"Are we leaving soon?" She asked.
"Mom?" I asked from across the house. She appeared in the doorway.
"Yeah, you guys can go get in the car." She said.
I picked Violet up off the counter and set her on the ground. I've always been comfortable carrying her because she is so much smaller than me.
I wrap my arm around Violets waist and we walk out to the car. She gets in the backseat and I do the same, I wanted to sit by her. I sat next to her and rested my hand on her thigh. She gave me a weird look.
"Cameron?" She asked.
"Do you think we will get married one day?" She continued.
"I don't doubt it." I said grabbing her hand.
"When?" She asked, making me laugh.
"Do you want to get married now?" I joked.
"No!" She responded too quickly.
"Is something wrong?" I ask suspiciously.
"We've only been dating for a week... I'm just trying to figure out if we have a future together." She assured me.
I'm gonna assure her, with the promise ring. She will say yes.
"We do have a future. I love you more than anything. You are the most important thing in my life right now." I said holding her hand.
My mom got in and we drove to the lake. Everyone was already there when we got there.
Violet got out and ran over to Hayes. They hugged and ran off to go do some thing.
"I didn't know Violet and Hayes were so close." My mom said.
"Me either." I said shaking my head. We walked to the beach and I saw violet was already in the water. Her and Hayes were splashing each other. I went over to hangout with Ashley, considering Violet was all over Hayes.
"Hey Cam." She said as I walked over.
"How are you?" I asked.
"I'm good. What about you, are you and Violet still dating?" She said looking around me to see Hates and Violet in the water.
"I think so." I said and she laughed.
"Violet is a good person, I'm sure you know. She wouldn't cheat." Ashley assured me, grabbing my arm. I leaned back I'm my chair and drank my mixed drink.
"Can I show you something inside?" I asked her and she nodded. I went inside and she followed. Once we got into the guest bedroom I showed her the ring.
"Oh." She sighed.
"Will she like it?" I asked.
"She will, but you need to go and steal her away from Hayes like now or else you won't get the chance to ask her." She said leaving the room. I put the ring in my beach bag and took my short off. I went outside and ran down to the lake. I walked into the water and grabbed a water gun off the dock and snuck over to where Hayes and Violet were standing. I moved in the water and made waves. Hayes looked down. He looked behind at me.
"What the fu-" he said but I sprayed him with the water gun in the face. Nash ran down the dock and did a backflip. I swam under Violets legs and raised her in the air. Nash swam under Hayes's and raised him up. I tickled Violets foot causing her to laugh and squirm. She fell backwards into the water. I grabbed her and raised her out of the water by her armpits. She squirmed while I was holding and finally stopped and looked really uncomfortable.
"Cameron." She said.
"Yes, princess?" I replied.
"Will you let me down plesse?" She asked nicely.
"Nope." I said swinging he rover my shoulder.
"I hate you, you butthole." She said hitting my back. I put her down.I gave her a disappointed look.
She sighed and swam back over by me.
"Babe." She said hanging on my shoulder. I picked her back up by her armpits and she screamed. I laughed and let her down again and we sat in the water for a while and played in the waves until Hayes started the boat and we got on and went for a boat ride. Hayes and nash went water skiing. We we're out on the boat for 3 hours, swimming, skiing, and tubing. I could tell Violet was having fun. But once it turned 2 we headed back in to eat lunch.
