I woke up with a start as I felt a small body squirm against me. "Hey Xavier." I cooed at him. He was having a little trouble in the new place, he's probably missing the other babies or his crib, I don't know, but he was a comfort all the same to have against me in the night. I looked up to see the May light pour in through my window. "Guess it's time to start adjusting since the "group" wants more help huh...?" I asked to no one. I got out of bed and changed into some comfy clothes and I got Xavier dressed. I headed out to the kitchen and saw Sabrina with Annie. "Do one of you guys mind watching Xavier while I go scouting...?" Sabrina shook her head, "Nah I got it, just be careful." I nodded.
I headed out and watched the birds in the sky. 'At least this is stable.... for now" I thought with a shiver as I thought about the destruction that had happened back in the city.
