The soft rays of the morning sun filtered through the light curtains, their warmth brushing against my skin. It felt gentle, almost comforting, but the sudden brightness made my eyes flutter open in irritation. My brow furrowed, and I let out a sigh, my body still heavy with exhaustion. Blinking a few times, I stared at the ceiling above me, only to realize I was not where I actually slept . I was somewhere else .

I froze.

The room felt familiar and unfamiliar at the same time, as though I were waking up in a dream that wasn't my own. My bed was the same, but the air felt different-heavier, almost suffocating. My gaze flitted across the room, trying to make sense of where I was.

And then, I saw them-my brothers.

Both of them were gathered around me, their faces etched with worry. Adarsh's jaw was tight, his eyes scanning me for any visible injury, while Vansh sat quietly at the foot of the bed, his fingers nervously tapping against his knee.

"Yuvi, are you feeling okay now?" Adarsh asked softly, his voice steady but layered with tension. He leaned closer, his concern evident in the way his brows knitted together.

"Di, does anything hurt? Are you in pain?" Vansh chimed in, his tone filled with worry as he looked at me , his eyes searching mine.

I opened my mouth to respond, but no words came out. My head was pounding, my thoughts stuck in my mind . I blinked at them, my mind struggling to process everything. I was unable to convert my thoughts into words . The room around me, their voices, their questions-it all felt distant, like a faint echo.

My mind clung to something else, something more clear , more beautiful: the weight of his head resting on my shoulder. His quiet breathing, so steady, so calming. The way it had helped me to went into the most peaceful sleep I'd had in what felt like ages. That moment was so real, so warm, yet it slipped away like sand through my fingers.

Where was he now? What happened after that? How did I get here?

"YUVI!" Adarsh's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I jumped at my place , my heart racing as I turned to look at him.

"Huh?" My voice came out shaky, my mind still stuck on him-his head on my shoulder, his presence beside me.

Adarsh sighed, his expression softening. He reached for my hand, holding it firmly. "It's okay if you don't want to talk right now," he said gently. "But if something's bothering you, Yuvi, you can tell me. You know that, right?"

I nodded weakly, my throat tightening as tears threatened to spill. Adarsh stood up as if to leave, but I grabbed his hand immediately.

"Bhai sa..." My voice cracked, thick with emotion.

He immediately sat back down, his eyes filled with concern. "Hmm?"

I swallowed hard, my words stuck in my throat. "Woh Bhai... woh log..." My voice faltered, and tears welled up, blurring my vision.

His face hardened, his protective instincts kicking in. "Kon, Yuvi"?

I struggled to speak, my fingers gripping his hand tightly. "Woh log, joh..." My voice broke as a sob escaped me.

Adarsh's jaw tightened, his anger barely contained. "Yuvi, tell me," he demanded, his voice low but firm.

I forced myself to calm down, taking deep breaths to suppress the hiccups. Finally, I shook my head and tried to change the topic. "Woh chhodiye, Bhai sa. Aap yeh batayiye... Maa sa, Bapu sa... woh naraz hain kya mujhse?"
