¤♡Abelines POV♡¤
"God dammit!!" A loud cursing from downstairs woke me up. I groaned. When she was up, everybody was up. And I didn't want to wake up.
She had me up all night cleaning this house from top to bottom. She even made me clean outside and I couldn't come in until I was done. She locked me outside, so when I was done I had no way to get in because she fell asleep. I banged on the door, screamed for her to let me in, I even rang the door bell fifteen million times. And she didn't even wake up. And on top of that it was freezing outside, and raining. I'm just surprised I'm not sick.
I didn't get how a person that did absolutely nothing all day could be so tired. She acted as if she was the one cleaning all day.
That's all I've been doing this summer. Cleaning. And the usual. Getting hit for every little thing I do and being called names.
Footsteps coming up the stairs caught my attention. I got more in the cocoon of my blanket. I really didn't want to get up just yet. It was to early. Plus I've been up all night. I prayed that she wouldn't come in my room.
As the footsteps got closer and closer I pulled the covers around me tighter. All of a sudden they stopped and it was silent. The silence was killing me.
I heard the footsteps walk away and let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding.
I closed my eyes and tried to go back to my slumber. I was almost there when somebody slammed my door open.
"Hey!" My mother yelled. I heard her shuffle over to my bed, "Get up!!"
I stayed still. Pretending to be sleep. Maybe if she saw I wouldn't "wake up" She would go away and give me another hour. But this was my mom I was talking about, and she didn't care about anyone but herself.
"I said get up you stupid bitch!!" She screamed at me.
I shut my eyes tighter hoping she wouldn't hit me again.
She chuckled, "Alright you wanna sleep. Then fine. Sleep." As she walked away from my bed she muttered a few words under her breathe. I didn't catch what she said. But whatever it was, it was probably mean.
She didn't close my door back when she left. Usually she does, but this time she just left it open. I shrugged off the thought about it and went back to sleep.

Two words went through my mind right now. Cold. Water.
Why?
Because that's what I woke up to. Cold water being splashed on my face. I sprung up in my bed and scream. It was so cold.
"What the hec-" I was cut off by my mother slapping me in the face.
My head went to the side because of how she slapped me. My breathing was fast. I turned to look at her. She held a bucket -where I'm guessing the water was in- in one hand. And in the other she had a cigarette.
I mentally rolled my eyes.
"Listen here you little piece of shit, when I tell you to do something you do it! You don't just go and do whatever the hell you want to! You got it? Good! Now get up!" She yelled all in one breathe.
