Prologue IV

Icarus Pov

Kakashi and I stood back to back as we were surrpunded by multiple goons , all men loyal to Min . The men were intimidating however each would go down easily with one hit , It was actually easier than I originally thought the fight would be.  During the commotion , my back came into contact with something , I turned around to find the large man that had brought me here .

He towered over me and was visibly upset , I reciprocated his expression " you...how could you mistake me for a girl ?!" I asked .

He clicked his tongue " you're upset by that ? You should be grateful , The women arent given physical labour and are usually used as servants or sold as wives . I put you there to spare you !"

That confession only made me angrier " spare me ? You're joking right ?"

He leaned over " I had my own hopes for you , you're my sister's type and I wanted to give you to her as a birthday gift "

" what ? You realise Im only 16 right ?!"

The man's expression didnt change " age doesnt matter , my sister is 34 but radiates beauty like a 19 year old "

" 34 ?! " I yelled shell-shocked

He pulled his elbow back as he prepared a punch " dont insult my sister !" And threw the punch down right at my face , in a second before it made contact with me , I managed to dodge to the side just barely dodging it . His fist made contact with the ground , creating a large bolder followed by a loud crash sound .

Debris flew everywhere just by that one hit to the concrete floor , my eyes widened at the man's brute strength and quickly snapped my head up to look at him again.  His eyes met mine and he immediately came for a second hit , now I knew how strong he was , I needed to get into a position to have him submit before he can get those hands on me. 

As he made a dive for me , I ducted below his elbow and slipped my way beneath his arms before quickly climbing onto him , wrapping my legs around his torso and my arms around his neck , throwing all my weight back to make him falter as I attempted to choke him out .
.the man was ridiculously strong , he stood firm as his arms began working to remove my legs , his torso was so large that he struggled to gt a good grip of me by his neck .

He pulled and clawed at my legs that it began to burn and I began to loose strength,  but just as my resolve nearly faltered,  up came Kakashi spinting towards him with a physical chakra reaction in his hand , it looked like lightning and sounded like a dozen birds .

I realised it was a lightning technique and It would paralyze the man who was pawing at me , however if I didnt give myself some sort of protection,  I too would be electrocuted and I believed Kakashi knew I would notice this .

I immediately started to manifest my own chakra and put a full lighting cloak over myself just as Kakashi's attack made impact . His blue lighting attack from the front merged with my purple lighting from behind the man , triggering a double shock effect , not only paralyzing the man but also knocking him out . The man fell onto his back , right ontop of me , I clawed my way out of the suffocating boulder just to notice a hand offered to me , Kakashi's. 

I took his hand as he dragged me out and I leaned over on my knees catching my breath as Kakashi looked at the large man on the ground . We both heard some sort of scuddling sound and looked to the source , it was Min.  The big bad gang leader who turned on his village , scurring to cover like a coward . Shaking and covering himself with his hands to protect himself from us , Kakashi and I shared a glance before he walked over to Min and dragged him out of his coward hole .

I stood up straight and walked up to him " Min , you're not gonna give us trouble now are you ?"

Min cried " no no I swear , Im so sorry , please dont hurt me !!"

I looked up at Kakashi as he looked at Min " We're not the one's you should be apologizing to ."

We escorted Min back to Konoha , not before stopping at the small village to make sure the villagers all got there safely , the villagers gave Min an earful , throwing food and trash at him and cursing him to the end of time . They wanted Min to stay so they could punish him themselves but luckily for Min , Lady Tsunade wanted him .

We made our way home , the travel was longer due to Min complaining half the time and having a break down the other half of the time,  he got so frustrating that Kakashi knocked him out cold and carried him over his shoulder .

We didnt speak so I couldnt get his opinion on the mission , I only hope that I did well enough to be part of his team . Any team would do but there's some kind of familiarity with Kakashi , that I feel like I could make decisions that He would understand,  from his own experiences within the Anbu .

As we approached the gates of Konoha , I began to feel anxious . What was Kakshi's verdict on my performance ? .
