Part 11: Altercation at the Auspicious Auction.

Sigh...

The sound of boots on the ground stop as James Ironwood breathes out heavily. He wearily scans the top of the cliff. The trek up had been... Alot.

James: Little... Was this really the easier path?....

Little yawns on his shoulder and stretches out.

Little: Yep! Just on the other side of these trees is where the view gets reeeeally cool!

James sighs out again before slowly walking forward again. His uniform was now noticeablely dirty and even slightly torn from some some sort of altercation. James even still has both his pistols drawn.

James: Never before... In my life have I seen something that looked like that...

Just as James says this, a purple carriage rushes from out of the trees, startling both him and Little. The carriage stops and one of the sides drops down in a cloud of purple dust, revealing a... Raccoon standing on its hind legs? The raccoon sees James and smirks before breaking out a dramatic pose, showing off its purple and white outfit and freaking James out.

???: Welcome one and....

The raccoon notices that there is only one creature before him.

???: Hm... Anyway, I... Am Jinxy!

James stares at Jinxy in disbelief, Little seems completely unfazed as the raccoon does some cool tricks with some sort of staff.

Jinxy: In the audience, I see that you have some valuable items! Perhaps a trade is in order?

Jinxy smirks at James while gesturing to both parts of Due Process. James looks down at the pistols then back up at Jinxy.

James: Oh, uh... No? These aren't for trade, they're my weapons.

Jinxy laughs and hops down off the carriage platform. He saunters over and inspects the pistols, James is still baffled by the creature, who is almost exactly half his height.

Jinxy: Hm... Very good craftsmanship! I have just the thing to persuade you!

Jinxy runs back to his carriage, making a big show the entire time, and jumps back up to the platform. He uses he staff to "knock" on the side of the carriage, causing a few items to drop down in a row. A small yellow mannequin, a similarly sized diamond studded bunny statue, and a yellow and blue wrench. The wrench is oddly detailed with strange patterns and encrusted detail, it almost seems to call out to James...

Jinxy: These are the finest treasures of the Acre! First we have!...

Jinxy does another trick with his staff and makes the bunny statue appear in his hand.

Jinxy: The diamond studded rabbit! You there!

Jinxy points his staff at James and ushers him and Little up onto the platform/stage. James hesitantly comes closer and scales the steps up. Once on stage, Jinxy shows off the rabbit statue.

Jinxy: Very valuable! Whaddya think?

James seldom looks at the statue before looking back down at his weapons, now holstered on his hips.

James: N-no... I think I'll just... Kee-

Jinxy: Nonsense! Allow me to show you our second item!

Jinxy interrupts James and hustles back to the other items. He sets the rabbit down and picks up the wrench. He hurls it in the air and does some dramatic moves with it.
