Part 5: When It Falls.

Atlas and Mantle were all hustle and bustle. Everyone was doing something. Children playing in the streets, parents assisting in wall deconstruction. The Atleasian millitary was offering protection to Mantle while sections of the wall were torn down. Soldiers were patroling everywhere. General Ironwood made it public that there would be a manhunt happening in Mantle for Tyrian Callows and Arthur Watts. He had also begun working more closely with the Council. Atlas was also busy. Ironwood had redirected construction efforts to the west wall of Atlas, knowing that was the side of the City Salem intended to land on. The loading if Gravity dust into the cities thrusters was... Slow. To say the least. With Winter and Weiss both down in Mantle tracking Robyn. Team RBY helping with evacuation efforts into the crater, and Team JNR assisting the Ace-Ops in clearing out the Amity Site. That only left a few hundred soldiers and a handful of commanders to ready Atlas for the upcoming attack. Ironwood was also helping them. Unloading dust shipments, and leading the whole operation. The reason there was so much happening, was because a huge energy signature had been detected on the South coast of Solitas. And James knew exactly what it was. Salem was here, and she was coming for Atlas. Even though Ironwood was helping with the dust, he had contacted everyone, including the Council, and told them about his plan to tell Mantle and Atlas about Salem. There was a small debate, but eventually everyone agreed with his plan. The teams at Amity also reported that the dust blast idea that Pietro thought up was ready. Ironwood then took his plan and applied it to the whole of Remnant. The General was now preparing his speech. He had the Amity crew on standby, and had all soldiers down in Mantle ready to defend the cities newly exposed borders.

Speaking of exposed borders, Ironwood had ordered the hardlight shields be readied for activation. James knew that they wouldn't last long if history repeated itself. But the added security made him feel better. Just before he about to start a transmission, and signal for the launch of Amity, he gets a call from Winter.

Ironwood: Yes, Winter?

Winter: General, we manged to catch Robyn Hill. It was... Difficult, but the information you gave us on her location aided us greatly.

Ironwood: Good. Bring her to the Academy immediately. As soon as i begin this transmission, the evacuation plan will go into effect. I'll need Mantle clear in less than an hour. Then... You will inherit the power of the Winter Maiden, open the vault, and pray we prepared enough.

Winter: Yes sir.

Winter hangs up and Ironwood stares down at Atlas.

Ironwood: It's a beautiful day outside. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming...

He picks up his scroll and prepares to speak to the world.

Ironwood: On days like these, people like you... Should be burning in hell.

He presses the button and turns around. An Atlas drone begins recording him. Across Atlas and Mantle, the screens all display the General. When this is seen at Amity, Team RBY, JNR, Penny and Maria all prepare for blast off. Pietro engages the thrusters and detonates the Dust mine. Amity soars into the sky, and very quickly hits the transmission line. Restoring wirld communications. Ironwood's transmission is seen across Remnant. Vacuo, Mistral, Vale. Menagerie. Everywhere. Everyone. This also prompts Mantle's evacuation to begin.
