Mystic falls 1864

Adonis would be lying if he said that the ride was comfortable and quick, but it wasn't. Adonis felt as though he had been on the road for days, even though it had only been a few hours since they set off. The constant rocking of his hips on the bumpy gravel roads was uncomfortable which started to irritate him. He was traveling with Katerina and Emily Bennet to the small town. They recently met Emily and in that time, Adonis found himself growing more friendlier with the witch who now serves as Katerina's handmaid.

He gazed out the window of the carriage as they traveled to Mystic Falls a small town of Virginia, on their way to the Salvatore Boarding House. As They made their way to the town square, he observed the fields of the farmland surrounding him. Workers and servants could be seen moving through the fields, while a few children were playing with their friends, their laughter and chatter possibly disturbing the workers but they didn't seem to mind much except for a few comments about commotion. Adonis's lips curved into a slight smile as he watched the carefree children playing, their innocence bringing a sense of warmth to his heart. Despite feeling fondness, he kept his thoughts to himself Adonis wouldn't dare voice his thoughts out loud.

As quickly as the feeling came, it went away. The only thought he was having at the moment was how he wouldn't be able to afford to get attached to some human at this small town because who knows how long he will be staying there with Katerina and Emily. Little did Adonis realize how drastically his life would be changed upon encountering Natalie Forbes, the most compassionate and generous person he had ever encountered.
