Louis' POV

I quickly lunge out of the side passenger door, grabbing my heavy bookbag. My eyes grazed around at the beautiful scenery around the Oxford campus, I have a mixed feeling about this school. This almost seems too good to be true. How did they even accept me into Oxford University? I'm just a normal bloke from Yorkshire. I guess my whole year of failing trying to get into a university or college had finally benefited myself. Even though I am behind with getting a university acceptance than everybody else, I am happy that I'm done with stupid highschool and the people with it. Not only that, I'm finally studying at the university of my dreams. All of this was not easy to achieve.

"Louis?! You know.. it would be really nice if you helped yourself with your own luggage!"

Without a second thought, I briskly made my way to the boot of the car to help my mom unload my heavy bags. "Sorry mom, it's just... amazing here. I- I just can't believe it that I'm going to be spending four years here." I sighed.

Jay set down one of my rolling luggage next to me and looked up with her teary eyes, exhaling deeply. "I know I've said this a hundred times on the way here but... I'm so proud of you, Louis."

My body tensed up just by hearing her words and a quirky smile grew on my face. I looked slightly at my mom, trying to condemn the tears from emerging from my eyes. Hearing those words from my mom always made me feel a thousand times better. I'm so grateful I have her. To be honest, my mom is probably the only closest friend I had aside from my sisters. Although she didn't know my deepest secret, nobody else did and I don't plan on telling anybody else. I didn't want to admit that I was sexually attractive to males instead of females. I feel like that would just shatter my mom's hope of me expanding on the 'Tomlinson' family especially because I have four sisters and no brothers. I'm sorry, mom. I'm sorry for being abnormal. Although my mom doesn't know I'm completely attracted to males, I have been trying to indirectly hint it for five years already. Over the span of the five years, she definitley did not notice but everybody in school would put me down for being abnormally girly. This is who I am and I am ashamed for it. I'm gay.

I gradually tilted my head up, adjusting my eyes to focus on a brunette quickly making her way over to my mom and I. She made a bold stop, scanning her eyes at me and then down at her clipboard, then back up at me again. I carefully examined the badge on her uniform, it read 'Prefect Student'.

"Hi, is your name Louis Tomlinson?" she asked excitedly.

I slowly nodded, examining her prestigious uniform and badge. Prefect students always intimidated me, mainly because all of the prefect students from highschool were all just snobs that would suck-up to their teachers. This girl actually seems welcoming.

"Aw well, I'm Eleanor. I'm here to guide you to your dormitory room. Follow me. I'll help you with your bags!"

I swallowed deeply. "Wait.." I glanced over at my mom and then back at the girl. "Umm... can I have a moment with my mother?" I paused and waited until Eleanor briefly shuffled a few steps back.

My lower lip trembled when eye-contact was held between my mother and I. I quickly took a glance at all the streams of tears that had runned down her face. "Mom, I promise that I'd call you every once in a while... I'll be fine by myself." we stood frozen for a moment. It felt like I was about to leave her for 40 years but in reality, I would just see her after I was finished with my first term.

I catch my breath as my mom gently slipped into my arms and buried her face into my chest. "I l-love you.. promise to call me?" she studdered quietly, lifting her pinky finger. As I wrap my pinky finger around my mom's, I quickly catch a tear emerging from my eye. In one fluid movement, I wipe away the salty substance embarrassed. That girl, Eleanor, might've saw me tear up. I step one foot back, creating distance between my mom and I. It's the final goodbye. I eye her slowly as she swiftly walks back to the driver's side of her vehicle and drives off. There my mom goes, back to Doncaster, back to her shitty fiance that treats me like rubbish. Fuck that guy. Fuck him. At least now I'm free from all that bullshit, but I'm definitley going to miss my mom and sisters.

"Hey, are you ready to go now?"

I turn back around, catching eye-contact with Eleanor. "Sure." I grab one of my rolly luggage bag and start walking towards the large building with Eleanor quietly. As we approach the dormitory building, I can't help but believe that I'm about to enter the House of Hogwarts. The building looked amazing, magical, and majestic. The shrubbery outside the front entrance was perfectly trimmed, the vines grew up the walls of the building splitting left and right. I calmly walk into the building, flashing my eyes around my surroundings. Ok. Not what I previously expected but it was moderate. I'm glad this place wasn't as ancient as it looked outside but it was somewhat modern in the inside.

"You're on the fifth floor, room 173." Eleanor said looking down at her clipboard. I followed after her as she made her way to the lift, pressing the UP button. "I live right above you, in the sixth floor!" she exclaimed. I nervously scratch my head, "This campus is pretty big.. uh, so how many students live in this uh- this building?". "Alot. Things get really hectic in here.. but don't worry. You would love it here and the people." she said with a quirky smile on her face. I followed after her into the lift going up five levels. What did she mean by alot? Five floors is alot of students but I guess it not too many since everybody gets their own individual dormitory room which I'm pretty content about.

We brieftly made our ways out of the lift, taking a sharp corner and walking to the right end of the long, narrow hallway. I watch as Eleanor sets down one of my luggage bag, slide out a slip of paper and take out of key from her pocket. "Here. This is your timetable and here's your key. Unpack and if you need anymore help I'll just be upstairs in room 219." she says as she starts walking away.

"Okay! Thank you, bye!!" I wave at her and turn towards the door of my room. What the hell is that noise? Is that music coming from inside? I gently cup my ear gently on the door, oh no. I look at the plated number ontop of the door, "Room 173", this definitley is my room. I slowly insert the key into the slot and crank it. Clank. Unlocked. Twisting gently, I managed to get the door fully opened... shit.

I stand there paralyzed and awkward. Looking over towards at a muscular boy sitting down on a chair, lifting up some dumbells with sweat dripping down from his curly locks. He paused in motion as he noticed me standing at the door. I swallowed hard as I locked onto his green eyes.

"May I help you?" he said in a raspy, deep, strained voice. "I- I think uh, this is my room." I blurt out. My cheeks feel flustered and my chest tightens as try to contain myself. Deep dimples emerge as he chuckles and shake his head, "I believe you're wrong. Unless we're roommates. Who sent you here?" he asked. "Uh... a girl.." I nervously said, looking down at my timetable, avoiding any eye-contact. He slowly rose to his feet, walking towards me. He towered over me with his broad shoulders, I got starled as he grabbed my timetable from my hand.

"Fuck. Apparently we are sharing a room according to your timetable..." he says as he scans around the sheet.
