Chapter 3

Luke reaches his hand out for me to shake. I shake his hand. Suddenly the other two boys get up. "Hi, I'm Michael, but you can call me Mikey!" Michael, er Mikey, smiles. He gives me a big bear hug. "I'm Calum, but people call me Cal or Cal-Pal." The dark haired boy grins. "Hey, we have the same nicknames!" I laugh. He chuckles, "You just be my evil twin." I laugh again. I can tell I'm going to get along well with these boys, well Luke I'm not sure on yet, but maybe. Ashton hugs all the boys and he sits next to Luke. I end up between Cal and Mikey. "So what did we order?" Ashton asks. "We ordered an X-Large All Meat," Cal says. "That's okay right, you aren't vegan or anything?" Mikey questions me. "Nope. All Meat is actually my favorite type of pizza," I reply. "Who wants to play 20 questions?" Luke suggests. Everyone agrees. "I'll go first. So, Callie, what do you like to do in your free time?" Mikey asks. "I like to draw, play volleyball, and sing." I say. "You can sing?" Calum gasps. I shrug, "I don't think I'm any good." "Well, sing us something." Mikey encourages. "Yeah, sing your pretty little heart out," Luke smirks. I blush. I start to sing Hold On Til May by Pierce The Veil, Ashton realizes what I'm singing and starts tapping the beat out on the table.                       "She sits up high, surrounded by the sun

One million branches and she loves every one

"Mom and dad, did you search for me?

I've been up here so long I'm going crazy!"

And as the sun went down we ended up on the ground

I heard the train shake the windows

Once I stop, I realize that everyone in the pizza place is looking at me. They all start applauding, even the boys join in. I look down at the table and hide my face. Mikey pulls my hands away from my face and pulls me to stand up with him. "Callie Irwin everybody!" He shouts. I immediately escape his grasp and sit down at the table and look at Calum so I can face away from the crowd. "What's wrong? Why are you so embarrassed? Your voice is amazing!" He smiles. "Thanks Cal... I just don't do so well with crowds." I mumble. He pats my knee and gives me a nod. "Okay, well that was amazing Callie!" Mikey says. "Thank you." I smile. "Okay, so my turn I guess. Uhm.. Luke, what's your favorite band?" I ask. "Blink-182," He says. "Oh my gosh really? I love them! I saw them in concert last year!" I exclaim. "Cool," He smiles. He seems really... Distracted. "Its my turn right? So... Ash... How come you didn't tell me you had a hot sister?" He smirks. "What?" Ashton asks. "How come you didn't tell me you had a hot sister?" Luke repeats. Ashton's face turns red. "Hemmings. Outside. Now." He growls. Ash gets up and takes Luke with him. Mikey, Cal, and I just look at each other.  We can hear Ashton yelling from outside. "Luke, I want you away from my sister! You hear me? You are not going to go and fuck with her heart! She's been through enough these past years and she doesn't need to add another heartbreak on top of it!" He fumes. I look out the window, and I can see Luke smirk and walk away, Ashton follows and they both come inside. They sit down and our pizza gets delivered. "Who's hungry?" Mikey tries to start a converstion. He offers to put a slice on my plate and I shake my head. "I'm not hungry." I say. Ashton frowns at me. He knows I don't eat when I'm either upset or  angry. "I'm sorry," He mouths to me. I just shrug and stare at my lap. This day just gets better and better.
