Chapter 3

Niall's POV

“Niall, baby! Come wake up, mummy made breakfast for you on your big day!” My mother is so awkward, I'm glad nobody could hear her. I groaned and rolled around in my bed. It was still completely dark outside since we had to get up so early. After a few seconds of adjusting to the light my eyes read the time on my clock and groaned again. It read, believe it or not, 4 fucking AM. Rolling out of my bed I fell on the ground, hurt my head on my bedside table, cursed to myself, stood up and walked to my bathroom to take a long and hot shower.

After my shower I quickly dressed in sweatpants, a white and red muscle shirt and a red snap back, I didn't bother to put jeans on, I mean the only one who would see me this day was Liam and maybe some people at the train station.

“Here's your breakfast, sweetie!”, my mum cooed and placed the plate with steaming pancakes in front of me on the table.

“Thanks, mum!” To be honest, I quite liked the way she called me sweetheart or cupcake from time to time, it made me remember the good old days of my childhood. But of course, nobody was ever going to know that. I finished my delicious food and checked one last time if I had packed all necessary things. After that, I threw my suitcase on the back seat and entered on the passenger side of our small car whilst my mother got in on the drivers seat. We drove in silence, disturbed by occasional “I'm gonna miss you so much”s from my mother and my casual response “I'm gonna miss you too.”

We reached the train station and I told my mum to drop me off a bit away from it, to be able to give her a proper hug and a kiss on the cheek without anybody seeing it.

“Okay mum, I have to go. I call you when we're there, yeah?”

“Sure honey. Have fun with your room mate! And take a few photos of you two!”

“'Coarse I will!” I think I have to admit now, that I told my mother my room mate and I were friends, just to make her happy. Oops. I smiled at her a last time and turned around, my suitcase in one hand waving over my shoulder with the other. I didn't bother to bring a jacket, it was June and the sun was burning. I just hoped that the weather in Germany would be the same.

Liam's POV

I arrived at the train station and immediately spotted Louis. I ran over to him and gave him a small hug.

“Hey, Lou! Is Harry already there?”, I asked him enthusiastically. Of coarse, I didn't want to know where Harry was, but I thought that Niall would be with him and I didn't want to make it that obvious and ask Louis where Niall was, so I thought this was a good plan.

“Yeah, he's over there.” He pointed into the crowd of people and I almost immediately saw the mop of messy curls a bit over the other heads because Harry was taller that most of us. I tried to spot Niall somewhere near him, but I had no such luck.

“Hey Liam.” I turned around to see who greeted me, which was very unlikely since I still had no friends, and I was even more surprised when I saw Niall standing there and looking at me expectantly.

“Oh, h-hey Niall.” I mentally cursed to myself for not sounding more confident.

“So, you coming, or what? I don't want to stay here for the rest of the day.” I wanted to protest and argue that the train wasn't even arrived, so it didn't make sense to go away, but right in that second the train entered the train station. I shot a last encouraging glance to Louis, gave him a rushed hug and went to follow Niall to the train whose doors were now open and ready for us to enter.

Harry's POV

When the train arrived I remembered that Louis had our papers and that I was only able to get on the train with him, so I did the only thing that came in my mind and screamed “LOUIS! LOUIS WHERE ARE YOU?”. Problem was, that I might or might not have said “Lou” instead of Louis one or two times, but when I noticed it it was too late. I got a few irritated glances from the people who head me screaming “Lou!” all over the place, but I shrugged it off and started yelling his name again.

“I'm coming!”, I then heard from somewhere in the crowd and I recognized Louis' voice and started to walk in the direction I thought it came from. Soon after I spotted his beanie covered head and sighed with relief.

“Lou! Come on, we have to get on the train!” Ugh, I used his nickname again. Yes, I invented a nickname for him, so what? Lou is much shorter than Louis.

“Yeah, yeah, I'm here. Wait, did you just call me Lou?” He raised both eyebrows so high I thought they disappeared under his bangs and the beanie, and, much to my displeasure, my cheeks began to burn.

“Yeah it's shorter.”, I muttered under my breath and felt even more embarrassed.

He just shrugged and added quietly: “I like it.”. I know he thought I didn't hear it, but I did indeed and smiled to myself. Why was this happening to me? Just a week ago I didn't give two shits about Louis and now I had a fucking nickname for him.
