Areum's P.O.V.:
"YAH! Park Jimin-ah! Get over here!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs from the downstairs living room. A rush of thumping, fast pacing feet came down the stairs with an almost scarred/worried look plastered right on her face.
"WHAT? WHAT? WHAT?!" she exclaimed. "Breakfast is ready," I sneaked a tiny smirk, as I pushed a plate with sausage and rice towards her side of table. Only in response, I get her with half her face dropping to the floor.
"Seriously?! Just for this?'" she gave a glare at me. I stuffed a spoonful of rice and sausage into my mouth, nodding my head. "Hurry up and eat, or I'll eat it all." She puffed her lips and rolled her eyes. "Fatty," she chuckled softly to herself as she headed back up the stairs.
"I'm just going to pretend I didn't hear that," I said. "But you did," she sang. I gave a roll of my eyes instead, and took another munch of my sausage and rice.
"And today's number one winner for Inkigayo is........ BTS!" the announcer's voice yelled. My eyes focused up the screen seeing the 7 boys smiling in utter happiness. This was already their 5th win. My eyes raced to find Jungkook's face, smiling joyfully while holding off the trophy, and then Rap Mon taking the thank you message.
I've met the boys in person, but only for a few times due to their busy schedules. Although, I knew the boys, I actually knew Jungkook more personally. It was a long time ago when we had met at a coffee shop. We used to hang out a lot back then over at the coffee place, but as I learned he was debuting into a Kpop group, we weren't going to spending a lot of time with each other. Of course, I was downhearted and terribly sad, because well, he was a great guy. Who wouldn't want to be his closest friend?
It was just then Jimin, had came back downstairs and sat next to me taking her plate of the sausage and rice I made. "Thanks for cooking," she said. "Yeah, yeah. You're welcome." Another few minutes of her munching mouth, until she gulped down her food.
"Isn't that BTS?" she asked. "Yeah," I replied, taking another bite of my rice. "Wow, they look different now...better different. Don't get me wrong," she commented. I gave a slight smile still looking at the TV screen, "Yeah, they've kind of grown up to be young men." Behind me, I hear Jimin give me a tiny scoff.
"Don't you know them?" Jimin asked. "Oh..yeah," I replied softly. "Oh that's right! You knew Jungkook before his debut. Aigoo! So... were you two like lovers?" she asked before taking another bite of her rice and sausage. Almost choking on my food, I tried chugging it down it water.
"MWEO?! I exclaimed. "Okay...maybe a personal question, don't you think?" she chuckled. "No...no. we weren't lovers," I replied quickly. But I did like him. It was at the time when Jungkook and I constantly meeting each other, I didn't notice how fast I was falling for him. We were both still young around 15/16 years of age. But now, everything probably must have changed. He texts me once in a while, but not like our old conversations.
"So you don't like him?" she asked. "Why, do you?" I asked. "Well, he is cute. I wouldn't mind being courted by him," she smiled looking at the TV screen. My heart sank slightly as I looked back at the screen as well.
The concert show went back to commercial, and then suddenly I get a text message just like that.
"Areum-ah!! Did you see our Inkigayo performance?! We got another win!! keke ^.^" -JK
"Ah, Jungkook-ah! Yes, I saw. Congratulations on the win. I'm really proud of you guys (:" -A
"And I forgot to tell you this, but the Big Hit Entertainment let us off for a few weeks of vacation until we have a comeback. I was wondering if you wanted to meet up.. hang out or something." -JK
I couldn't believe it. After a few years of not being able to see each other, we finally could! I smiled to myself and texted back, "Yeah, I'd really like that Jungkook-ah."
"Great, bring me a gift!! >~< kekeke" -JK
I chuckled quietly to myself. Sighing softly to myself, I grabbed all the remaining finished plates and walked over to the kitchen sink, cleaning each and every one of them.
"Jimin-ah! Are you finished with your plate?" I yelled from the kitchen. Jimin walked in covering one of her ears. "Ya don't needa shout," she glared at me.
"Aww I'm sorry," I mimicked her jokingly. She raised an arm at me as if she was about to throw a punch, but I just chuckled softly to myself.
After finishing the stack of dishes, I walked up over to my room closing the door behind me. 4 years and finally, I get to see him again. I smiled stupidly to myself as I sprawled out onto my bed, letting out a soft sigh to top it off.
-------
"Jimin-ah? You wanna go meet some friends of mine?" I asked peeking out my doorway. "And what friends are we talking about?" she asked. I smiled cheekfully to myself, "Just a group of special friends I know."
"As long as if we get to go shopping, then fine. Call!!!" she smirked and ran back into her room. I turned back around and closed my door. What should I wear? A girl's number one top priority.. is the way she dresses! After about a good 5 minutes, I decided to wear white shorts, a black tank-top blouse, a mini brown/tan purse, and some black high-top converse to top it off. I take one look in the mirror making sure I looked presentable enough. Another buzz came from my phone.
"Where would you like us to meet you?" -JK
"COEX Mall. I wouldn't mind a little bit of shopping, would you?" -A
"Not at all. Haha, alright. COEX Mall it is. I'll see you there Areum-ah ^~^" -JK
I gave another smiled and placed my phone back into my pocket as I went over to Jimin's door.
"You done yet?" I asked crossing my arms. The door swung open with Jimin wearing a cute floral dress white converse, her curled hair falling pass her shoulders and midway to her butt.
"Didn't need to go that far," I said. "But this outfit is cute, don't you think?" she asked pouting cutely as if she was asking permission to wear such type of outfit. *sighs*
"I guess.... c'mon. They're on the way," I smiled cheerfully as I grabbed her arm, running out the door, and into the driveway.
"You're 'friends' must be this important for us to meet them, aren't they?" she asked buckling up her belt as she gave another fix of her hair in the front passenger seat mirror. I started up the engine and smiled to myself, "Something like that."
