Sarah's Pov~
Sun shined through the windows, making the room glow with light. But she wasn't focused on that.
Her vision was blurry, as she tried to focus on what she was looking at. It looked like a ceiling though. Her head was killing her and she hasn't felt that kind of pain in years. She's a vampire and vampires don't feel pain often. Unless bitten by a werewolf, then that is painful as fuck.
Likely whatever Brynne did to her must've caused her pain. Letting out a small groan, she heaved herself into a sitting position and rubbed at her temples, willing the headache to go away.
"I'm surprised you feel pain even though we are in your mind." Stopping her movements by hearing her voice. Sarah looks up and met the moss green eye staring right back at her. Brynne was sitting on a chair with her legs crossed.
Sarah slowly stands on shaky feet but pauses when Brynnes words finally hit her "what do you mean by that?" She asks Brynne.
"So I can help you get your memories back but it's actually more blocked. Alaric likes to make sure his 'victims' don't remember what he did to them, makes it much more easier for them to do his bidding. Like what he did to me. Even though his control didn't last very long on me." She says to Sarah.
How did his control not last very long on her? Is it because she's the only one of her kind? Probably.
Letting out a breath. Sarah looked around at her surroundings, instantly recognizing the room from her old home, the kitchen and living room where the inevitable happened.
Everything looked the same. Like it was untouched by tragedy. Sarah won't deny, she liked this a lot. Hoping that in an alternate life her family is alive and thriving.
But she still felt sick to her stomach, even though she doesn't see the red on the floors, She does know that's where it is and she would much rather not think about it.
The air is stuffy but for some reason, it doesn't smell of blood and death, just how it used to smell when she grew up, the smell of lilies in the air and a hint of baking flour. She looked back over at Brynne, her black hair put into a high ponytail. She also notices the Celtic knot symbol in her left eye. She wonders how that appeared and the scar over her right eye.
"I know it's hard, being back in the place where everything was taken from you but I had no choice. His influence has took over you for a very long time, this is the only way to help you see what happened on that night, and it needed to be done now before the blood moon rises."
Sarah has heard about that. It's a very rare phenomenon and only the supernatural can see it while humans don't. It's where witches -dark witches actually- can do very powerful magic with no consequences. Sarah doesn't know why that has to involve her though.
"Since you told me about why I'm here, which by the way, I'm not happy with. But what's it have to do with the blood moon? Last I heard, it hasn't been around for the last 3 centuries." She tells Brynne.
