The boy stared at me awe, bewildered by my carefree attitude, considering it was the apocalypse.
"How can you be so calm?" The boy asks, mesmerized. I simply shrug.
"They don't think," I start, referring to the zombies. "They're like animals, possibly dumber." I pick at my nails. "Humans hunt animals."
The boy simply looks confused.
"But the world ended," he protests, shaking his head. I shush him.
"The world stopped. It didn't end."
