As soon as I walked inside, dropping my bag on the couch, Elijah shouted, "We're home!"

Feets thundered down the stairs to reveal a frantic Kieran stumbling down the stairs, sheer concern in his eyes. "My baby!"

My baby?

He raced towards me, kneeling down, bringing me in for a tight hug, murmuring, "Oh my sweet little Em."

I could tell you the definition of a hug. It meant to squeeze someone, to hold someone in your arms tightly to show affection. Something I was not familiar with.

But Kieran's hug. It felt warm, magical. It was soft as if it was made of clouds, but it was tight like it was made of chains. It was tender and loving. It was comforting and fuzzy. It felt like I was loved, me. Someone who was used to hatred, negativity and all the bad in the world. It felt like he loved me. It was like there was a crack in the wall, and light was shining in, heaven was shining in.

"I'm so glad you're safe Em." He pressed a kiss to my forehead.

I'm going to cry. Is this what it felt like to be wanted, to be loved?

"What are you thinking Emmaline?" Wilson's voice brought me back to reality. "You seemed lost there."

"Oh." I broke eye contact and just looked at Kieran, who broke out of the hug, eyes shining. "I wasn't expecting you to hug me."

"Em," Kieran spoke softly. "Was that your first hug?"

How did he even know?

"Yeah. Mother was too busy for me. I didn't really get hugs." So that may be a lie, but it really wasn't.

"Oh my poor Em." Kieran brought me in closer, cradling me as if I was a little baby, which I suppose I was since he just called me his baby, and I was tiny.

"Well, that's a shame." Wilson kneeled down besides Kieran, hand on my shoulder, with a soft smile on his face. "But we'll make it up to you with a lot of hugs, darling. We promise."

Merlin, I really am going to cry if they keep on doing this.

"Bleargh." Romero turned around, pretending to puke. "I can't handle this stupid sappy shit."

"There's too much love."

"Shut up Romero. You weren't any better." Wilson smacked the back of his head. "You were using the punching bag to let out all your worries."

"HEY! Who gave you the right?"

"I'm the oldest. I have the right." Wilson put his hands on his hips, glaring.

"This family is against me." Romero humphed, scowling, crossing his arms.

"This brat just had to ruin the moment." Kieran glared at him.

"It's because he wanted some lovee." Elijah smirked at his twin, teasing him.

"You bloody bastard." Romero pushed him down, punching him on the shoulder, before it escalated into a full fight.

"One day, I'm going to murder the both of them." Wilson groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Let's leave Wilson with the twins. We'll go watch a movie, okay Em?" Kieran turned to me with a smile.

"Okay." A full blown dazzling smile appeared on my face in this perfect moment.

* * *

It turned out Kieran's hug bruised my ribs even more. There was a darkish purplish bruise. But his hug was well worth the pain, not being able to breathe properly or move without wincing.

As soon as I went down the stairs, Romero came up to me. "Hey, can I eat a cookie?"

He was being nice to me. Was he still possessed? But why? Was it because Wilson and Kieran were here? That doesn't make sense though because he was still mean before.

"Yeah go ahead."

"Thanks." He went ahead.

"Em!" Kieran looked up from his phone, messing up his hair a bit, blowing some strands away from his face. "You ready?"

"Yeah." I sat down next to him, as he pulled me into his side.

Kieran was very loving, very explicit in his love. It was nice though.

"Alright idiots, let's watch." Romero came back while Elijah was behind him.

"What are we watching?"

"Must be appropriate." Wilson sat down to my right, pulling a gray sweatshirt on.

Considering what I've gone through, appropriate movies were the least of my worries.

"What do you want, Em?"

"Don't know."

"What about horror?" Elijah piped up, from next to Wilson.

"Okay." I shrugged.

"Conjuring 2!" Romero pumped his arms before being smacked by Kieran.

"Okay."

The movie was interesting to say the least. It wasn't boring. It kept me right on my toes. Though the characters were stupid. That's not a surprise though. There were some jump-scares, but I didn't flinch. Neither did Wilson.

While Kieran searched for a comedy movie, Elijah told the others what happened when he came to get me.

"I told her to kick them. Guess where she kicked them?" Pride was in his eyes.

"Where?" Romero leaned forward, curiosity clear as crystal on his face.

"The balls." He grinned proudly.

"No way!" Romero's jaw dropped.

Wilson was in disbelief too. "You're not lying?"

"She did. They were kneeling over, crying."

"Amelia!" Romero threw himself over Kieran, who squawked. "That's so fucking cool!"

"I'm so proud!" He held his hand up.

Amelia? High five? What was happening to the terror two?

But the moment was perfect. I guess I'll let it slide this one time.

I grinned and high fived him back. Wilson was chuckling besides me.

"That's absolutely amazing Emmie." He ruffled my hair.

Emmie. I remember that. From that memory of me, Mr. Snuggles and Ms. Button.

Kieran was laughing as well, though he was trying to push off Romero, who fell on the floor, rubbing his back, pouting and complaining.

And that was the first time I truly laughed. This really was a perfect moment. I only wish I could live in the moment forever.
