Love Triangle: a Rucaya story

Chapter 2- Just the two of us.

Riley's Pov:
All three of us walked into the classroom, I was walking in front of Maya and Lucas while they talked.
"Whooooooooo is thiiiiiis?" My father asked, in his crazy fatherly tone, pointing to Lucas.
"He's a new kid." Maya said, replying for Lucas.
"Yeah," Lucas said walking towards him and shaking his hand, "Lucas Friar."
"Well, Luuucas. Since you and Miss Hart seem to be getting along so well, why doesn't she show you around?" My father said.
My eyes widened. NO! They've already spent enough time together on the Subway!
"Okay." Lucas said heading out of the class with Maya.
"Dad?" I asked raising my hand.
"Yes?" He responded.
"Can I go to?" I asked in my innocent voice.
His eyes instantly lit up, and he went from teacher, to over protective dad.
"NOOOOO. TOO YOUNG!" He yelled.
The class laughed.
"Dad, he's just a friend." I responded.
"NOOOOO. TOO! YOUNG!" He replied again.
I sighed and slumped back in my seat. Greaaat.
Lucas's Pov:
"Okay, this is the main hall. Over here are the lockers, if you turn right around the left corner, theres the cafeteria and the office is just across the hall. Um, all your classes will be on the main floor, just turn right when you see the gym." Maya explained.
"Okay.." I responded, trying to slowly comprehend what she was saying.
"And that's it." She said.
"Okay.. Well thanks Maya."
"Mhm."
It got pretty silent and awkward at that point.
I just stared at her, with no emotion shown.
"Um? You're staring." She said.
"Oh um, Yeah, sorry."
"Don't be. You probably just zoned out." She replied.
I smiled. "Yeah I did.."
I leaned against a locker, and she leaned against the one next to me. "What were you thinking about?" She asked looking at me from the corner of her eye.
"Um.. Something." I replied.
"And you're not gonna tell me?" She asked.
"It's just stuff from the past, I guess you could say."
"You can tell me, you know." She replied.
I slightly smiled at her, "I don't know, you just remind me of myself- old self."
"Is that good or bad?" She asked.
I smirked, "At the moment, it's good."
"Well tell me about your old self." She replied.
"I was.. Aggressive sometimes, rude, harsh, didn't really care about grades.. I was still a nice person overall, and I could be really sweet and gentle.. But luckily, I broke through that 'phase' before coming here."
"And is that how you'd describe me?" She asked.
"Nah. There's just something about you.. That I like."
She got up and stood in front of me.
"Are you flirting, Ranger Rick?" She asked.
I smirked and stood up straight, "Maybe I am."
Riley's Pov:
I sighed of boredom.
"Dad." I said raising my hand.
"Yes, Riley?" He asked.
"Can I go to the bathroom?"
"Riley the bells about to ring." He replied.
"Pleaseeee." I begged.
"Fine."
I smiled and got out of my seat. I made my way to the bathroom but stopped in my footsteps, to see Lucas and Maya leaning in to KISS EACH OTHER! :(
Thankfully the bell rang which scared them a bit and shook them out of the moment. Then they both awkwardly left.
I sighed in relief yet disappointment.
I knew this wasn't gonna go well.
