Eggs and Lacy

It was the morning and I was determined not to be sad. I showered and was down in time for breakfast at 7. I've always been an early riser so the time breakfast was at didn't bother me. I woke Shawn as I was leaving and he promised to be down soon.

I stood awkwardly with my tray, forgetting that I didn't know anyone. I saw an empty table across the room and started walking towards it when I got dragged down by a very pretty girl around my age.

I later found out her name was Lacy and she turned 17 a week before. She also went to a private school in the area I live in. Or the area my parents live in. She had long straight blonde hair and big blue eyes, she was incredibly beautiful and was funny. I learnt she enjoyed doing all sports and could play drums and guitar (acoustic and electric).

At 7:30 Shawn walked into the room. I watched as many girls stared at him and tried flirting but he ignored them and scanned the room until his eyes landed on me. He smiled and made his way over, scooting me across so he could fit in next to me.

"Hiya." He smiled, stealing a forkful of eggs from my plate, despite having his own in front of him.

Lacy looked at us in shock.

"Are you guys like, dating?" She whispered to us, trying not to gain attention.

Shawn and I both start laughing, while she just stared at us like we have gone insane.

"We only met yesterday." I smiled at her.

We calmed down and when we looked at her red face we both started laughing again. Gaining some weird looks from the people around us. Lacy and I getting glares from the girls.

We all had today off, Shawn and I had the same days, whereas Lacy had Sun-Tues and Friday. Schedules were mainly based off where in the dorms you were, which is why my own and Shawn's were the same. And Lacy stayed opposite us, which is why she only had one day different.

Lacy decided it would be a good idea for me to learn where everything is, they started with the sporting areas. This place was massive... It had a football and rugby field. An indoor gym, equipped with a rock climbing wall. A tennis and basketball court and an Olympic sized swimming pool. And finally a running track.

The sporting area was Lacy's favourite as she enjoyed all sports. I decided I would definitely use the running track.

They continued to show me around, showing me the library, which was massive, study room, music area and art rooms. It turns out your parents got to choose your activities, and as I was smart enough my parents didn't put down and academic activities/classes.

Shawn and Lacy showed me around the grounds and we messed around all day until it was time for us to go to our rooms at 8.

Shawn and I stayed up talking for hours after lights out. Stifling laughs when a teacher walked past hearing us. It was gone 1 when we finally fell asleep, it was like he and I had known each other forever.

Maybe this school wasn't going to be so bad? I wondered to myself, before letting my peaceful dreams take over my mind.
