The rain kept tapping on my bedroom window. It started to sound like little pebbles hitting my window. I lit a couple of small purple candles on my nightstand and watched the small lights bounce in the darkness of my room. It gave my room a warmer feel. I pulled my curtains to the side so I could see the rain hit the window. The violet and gray sky seemed to light my room up slightly with a natural pale light. I tightened my blue robe and dug my toes into my fuzzy slippers. I had some Lana Del Ray playing on the stereo in my room. I had all of her CD's. I curled up in the fuzzy fleece blankets on my bed with The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
"Leila! Company!" I heard my mom call. I started to untangle myself from my blankets but my bedroom door opened before I could get up. It was George. He was dripping wet. His eyes were red and his lips were blue. He wouldn't even look up from the floor.
"Oh my goodness." The words seem to just fall out of my mouth. Like I didn't even move my lips to form the words. "George, what-"
"I don't want to talk about it," He said gently. He pressed his ice cold palm to my cheek. "I just really need to be with you right now." I nodded my head and started to unbutton his shirt. "Umm... Leila? What are you doing?" I peeled the soaking wet shirt off his torso and folded it up neatly. "I'm all for this but your parents are less than ten feet away." I slapped his bare chest. "Ow!"
"You can't stay in wet clothes, you'll catch a cold." I walked to my dresser and pulled out some clothes I had stolen from George over the time we had dated. I handed him a worn out plain tee on his and a pair of sweatpants. George put on the new shirt and stood perfectly still. "You know you have to take your pants off, silly. That's kinda the point of getting out of wet clothes." He just stood there looking t me with wide eyes.
"Leila."
"Yes George?"
"I don't think you've ever seen me without pants." I couldn't stop myself from laughing. I laughed so hard, I had to clutch my sides and pray they would stop aching. Tears streamed down my face and dripped off my chin. I fought for breath as I finally started to calm down. "I'm being serious Leila!" I put my hands on his cheeks and squished his face.
"I know dear. Now, buck up and take your pants off in front of your girlfriend." He still stood there without moving. "Do you want me to turn around?" He nodded his head with a tight smile. Sometimes I had remind myself that he had redeeming qualities.
"Close your eyes."
"But I'm already turned around."
"Please?"
"Fine." I closed my eyes with a big sigh. Moments later I felt George's cold lips in mine. I opened my eyes to find him completely dressed in my stolen clothes. "yea, baby. I like it when you wear my clothes." He threw his head back laughing."You mean my clothes?"
"My dresser, my clothes."George just smiled and brushed the hair out of my face. "Babe, can you tell me whats wrong? Please?" His hands ran down my shoulders to my hands and interlocked our fingers. He pressed his forehead to mine.
"Can it wait until the morning. I'm a tad through with the specific topic for the night."
"Can you tell me what the topic is so I can avoid it until morning?" George chewed on his bottom lip and rolled his eyes around.
"The future." I knew it. George always got super depressed when his parents talked to him about college. He knew he didn't have very good grades and that he didn't have very many options.
"Will some cuddling make it better?" I reached out my arms and made grabby hands at George.
"Only if we don't get in trouble."
"Dads asleep and Mom knows we're not having sex." George cocked his right eyebrow.
"How does she know that?"
"Because I told her."
"Why?" George was in complete disbelief that I shared any aspect of my love life with my mom.
"Because I trust her."
"And she trusts me?"
"Please, George. You'd probably cry if you took my virginity without my parents blessing." He puffed up his chest straightened his posture.
"No I wouldn't. I'm a total bad boy that's corrupting their daughter. If your parents hadn't opened the door, I would of climbed up the drain pipe and knocked on your window."
"Shut up and just cuddle me, Ezra."
