Getting sick

GRAY'S P.O.V
I didn't spot isis anywhere at the guild today and no one else had seen her around either. Later erza told me that she was unwell so stayed at home with lisanna looking after her. I had to see that coming after she was sneezing the other day. I sighed then was off to her house.

Lisanna's p.o.v
Gray knocked at the mahogany doors then heard a loud Achoo!
"Oh no that's got to be gray! Just tell him that I'm sleeping and absolutely NOT sick!!" isis said panicking. I became confused by what she said but nevertheless did what she asked.
I opened the door and as expected there stood gray, who I greeted with a smile.
"Good morning gray!" I wished.
"Hey Good morning! You must be here because of isis' sickness isn't that right? " He asked coolly and I became dumbfounded.
"Ah no of course not isis isn't sick... Who told you that? " I asked as calm as possible. Then a sneeze was heard with a gust of  air towards the doorway.
"She's not sick huh? " Gray cocked an eyebrow while I laughed nervously.
Gray's P.O.V
When I entered her room she hid behind her blanket. Tissues were all over the place and it reeked of dead fish. I chuckled.
"Good morning isis! You didn't come at the guild today so I figured I should pay you a visit! " He said teasingly.
"I'm perfectly fine just a little sleepy thank you very much. " she said grumpily.
I pulled the cover off from her face after which I saw her jumbled hair and red nose.
"Really? Just a little sleepy? " He asked with sarcasm evident in his voice. She sighed.
"Okay okay I'm sick!! You happy now... Go ahead and lecture me all you want. " She said giving up.
Lisanna said she had high fever this morning but it eventually died down after consuming porlyusica's medicine.
"But that medicine just ran out... I'll have to go get it... But I can't just leave her like this. " lisanna informed.
"I'll take care of her... You go on ahead. " Gray suggested.
"No! You can't gray has to take on a job today lisanna! " isis bursted.
"It's not that important.... I have enough money right now... Besides we were going to do a job together this time remember? " I told her and she slightly blushed.
Lisanna soon left after showing me the ropes.

The day was going slowly with isis' occasional sneezing and coughs. I heated the soup which lisanna prepared and took to her room.
"Ok time for lunch! " I announced after settling in a chair close to her bed.
"You do know that soup isn't exactly what you call lunch? " she said sarcastically after sitting up on her bed. I shook my head.
"Open wide " I said before bringing a spoonful to her mouth.
"I have two hands you know so hand it over! " she said blushing.
"No way, you need complete rest isis so deal with it. " He said strictly.
She gulped before taking in the spoonful of hot soup. She finished the soup after putting up a childish tantrum but later I noticed an unusual expression on her face.
"I'm sorry gray. " she muttered out of nowhere.
"Sorry? For what? " I asked.
"If I had been more careful last night, we would be out doing a job today. " she sadly. I put down the empty bowl.
"Hey it's okay, I guess I wanted to repay for that time when I got injured remember? " I said politely
And she smiled.
"Yeah it was fun, because you used to scream like a girl when I applied that cream!! "
My cheeks heated up slightly, then she yawned.
"You should get some sleep isis, you'll feel better. " I advised. She nodded and settled in her bed.
I fell asleep at the chair beside her bed and had a tiny dream.

"I should be leaving now isis " I said to isis who was lying on her bed. But before I could move farther away she grabbed my wrist.
"Don't leave me gray... Please I need you.... Can't you stay here a little longer...? " she said helplessly.
"Isis....... " I whispered and grabbed both of her hands.
"I'll never leave you... I'm here by your side..." I assured her. She began to tear up and hugged me.
"I love you gray..... " she whispered and I hugged her tightly.

My eyes shot up to the noise of a door knock I saw isis who was still sleeping soundly. Lisanna was back home along with the medicine. I had to wake up isis up so she could take it.
I put my hand on her shoulder.
"Isis... It's time to wake up.... Your medicine is here"
She lingered but eventually opened her emerald orbs and then met my eyes instantly. I became nervous at the close contact so pulled away instantly. Lisanna gave her the medicine and she coughed slightly after taking it in.
Isis fell asleep soon afterwards and I decided to head back at the guild.

"Hello! Fairy tail!! " isis declared after bursting into the guild the next morning.
Everyone greeted her one by one and asked how she was feeling.
"I'm great now!! all ready to embark on a new adventure thanks to gray " she grinned. I rubbed my neck with my hand nervously.
"Ah yeah it was nothing anytime. " I said.
"It's really a surprise that he didn't strip even once!! " she giggled.
"Is that so droopy eyes!!??? I never knew that you could play mom so well!!" natsu was laughing.
"Oh yeah squinty well you're the one to talk!!! " I said angrily after which we broke into a destructive fight.
Isis sweat dropped and lisanna shook her head.
