Athiya immediately straightened up, her eyes narrowing. "No, Arjun. You're the one who knows the doctor and Meera's history best. You should be the one to talk to them."
Rahul nodded in agreement. "She trusts you more than anyone. If the doctor knows her past treatments, it might help them understand what's going on now."
Arjun's confession hung in the air, raw and unguarded. He looked down, his voice barely a whisper. "I don't know if I have it in me. After Ayan and Arya... I don't think I can face failing her too."
Rahul, sitting on the other side of Meera, placed a steady hand on Arjun's shoulder. "You didn't fail anyone, Arjun," he said firmly, his voice carrying the weight of his love and belief. "You've been her constant through everything. You've held her together when the rest of us didn't even know she was falling apart. That's not failure."
Arjun looked up at Rahul, his eyes filled with doubt and fear. "But what if I mess up? What if I push too hard and make things worse?"
Rahul leaned in, his voice soft but resolute. "You're not doing this alone, Arjun. We're in this together. We'll do this as a team."
Arjun's lips trembled into a small, grateful smile, and Rahul looked across the room to Virat. Virat stepped forward, enveloping Rahul in a firm hug, his presence radiating reassurance. Pulling back slightly, he motioned toward Athiya, who was still seated beside Meera, her hand protectively resting on her back.
Rahul walked over to Athiya and crouched beside her. "Tia," he said softly, his voice steady and comforting, "she's going to be okay. We don't even know if anything's wrong for sure. Maybe we're overthinking."
Athiya looked down at him, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. She nodded, but her voice was still shaky as she whispered, "But she's a baby."
Harry broke the tension with a playful grin. "Han, a 32-year-old baby who knows how to use a pistol well enough to kill us all, nai?"
The room burst into laughter, the lighthearted comment diffusing the heavy atmosphere. Arjun shook his head, a small smile tugging at his lips. "The baby who shuts all of us up most of the time," he added, his tone warm with affection.
As the group chuckled, Virat crossed his arms and gave them all a steady look. "You're all getting scared for nothing. Even if she's having nightmares, it's nothing we can't handle. We'll figure it out, together." Turning to Arjun, he added, "When do we talk to the doctor?"
Before Arjun could respond, Harry chimed in. "Are we telling Meera about this?"
Rahul immediately shook his head. "Nope. Let her wake up on her own. If she asks something, we'll talk to her carefully. If she doesn't, we wait until we've had the conversation with the doctor."
Athiya looked back at Meera, who stirred slightly, snuggling closer into her side. The sight tugged at her heart, and she instinctively wrapped her arm around Meera's shoulder. "She might be strong, but she'll always be my first baby.," she murmured, her voice tinged with emotion.
Rahul gave Athiya a soft, understanding look, his voice gentle but firm. "I know, Tia. And that's exactly why we're doing this. We're all in this together."
Athiya nodded, her eyes glistening with unshed tears, but her expression remained steady. She gently stroked Meera's hair as she nestled into her side. "She's been through so much, I just want to protect her from anything more."
"Don't worry, Tia," Rahul reassured her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "She's not alone anymore. Not with us here."
The room fell into a comfortable silence for a few moments, the weight of the situation still heavy, but a sense of solidarity filling the air.
