The morning sun shone brightly over the stadium, signaling the start of an exciting day. The first T20 match of the India vs. England series was here, and the energy in the air was electric. Meera stood by the team bus, going over her notes for the day.

Hardik walked up, holding two cups of coffee, and handed one to her. "Scowlie, you look like you're preparing for an exam. Relax, it's game day. We've got this."

Meera took the cup, giving him a grateful smile. "I know, but it's my first time traveling with the team for a T20 series. It's different."

Hardik chuckled. "It is, but you'll get used to it. Plus, with me around, you're bound to have some fun."

She rolled her eyes playfully. "Is that a promise or a threat?"

"Both," he grinned, nudging her lightly before gesturing toward the bus. "Come on. Let's get moving."

As the match began later that evening, the stadium was alive with cheers and chants. India was off to a strong start, and Abhishek looked set to be the star of the day. Meera stood around the dugout, observing intently, occasionally speaking into the intercom. Hardik, sitting in the dugout, caught her eye and winked, making her shake her head with a smile.

When Tilak hit the winning runs, sealing India's comfortable victory, the stadium erupted. The team rushed onto the field, celebrating the perfect start to the series. Meera stood by the sidelines, clapping enthusiastically.

Hardik jogged over to her after the team's huddle, his face lit up with a triumphant grin. "Told you we've got this."

She laughed, shaking her head. "You guys were amazing out there. But don't let it get to your head."

"Too late," he teased, motioning toward the stands. "Come on, Scowlie. Let's enjoy the moment."

Later that evening, during the post-match celebrations, Meera found herself seated with Hardik and a few other players. The camaraderie was infectious, and she felt more at ease than ever.

"Here's to the first win!" Hardik raised his glass of juice, looking directly at Meera. "And to Scowlie finally loosening up."

Meera rolled her eyes but smiled. "Here's to many more wins. And to Harry scoring the lowest today."

The group erupted in laughter as Harry groaned. "Hey, I took two wickets with my bowling, and mind you, no more runs were required for the win!"

Axar, grinning, chimed in. "Dekha, Harry, Meera ab tumhara analysis bhi kar rahi hai."

Hardik smirked. "She's just jealous of how good we are as a team."

Meera raised her hands in mock surrender. "Fine, fine! You all were brilliant."

The group laughed harder, Harry shaking his head with a grin. "Noted, Scowlie."

The night continued with jokes, laughter, and a newfound sense of belonging for Meera.

As Meera walked back to her room after the post-match celebrations, her phone buzzed with a notification. It was a picture from Maithili—she and Arjun were sitting at a cozy café, smiles wide and radiant. Meera couldn't help but smile as she saved the picture.

Just as she flopped onto the bed, her phone buzzed again—this time, a video call from Arjun. She answered, her face lighting up. "Hello, Noor," he greeted warmly.

"Hello, bhai. Sup?" Meera asked, her smile lingering.

Arjun grinned, tilting his head as if to emphasize his weariness. "Oh, you know, the usual grind. I have a pretty difficult boss, you see."
