Wayne and Andrea got quite lucky. Somehow they managed to outrun the police, and so far they haven't been found yet. They did end up having to hitch-hike a ride from someone though. Andrea wasn't stupid. She knew there's absolutely no way they could just keep running without a singular person noticing them doing so. Especially with those posters all over the place with their faces on them. The main thing that surprised her was how fast the Brockton police department had caught up to the two of them. The mere fact they were right behind Wayne and Andrea this whole entire time left shivers down her spine, along with her fucking father. There was so much shit that was happening, it was getting really hard to keep track of it all.
When Andrea awoke, she found her head had been pressed into the crook of Wayne's neck. In return, his head was also pressed up against hers. She was still in a daze about everything that's happened between the two of them as well. They're no longer friends, they're boyfriend and girlfriend, if you were to put a title on it. And their little makeout session outright refused to vanish from Andrea's mind. She never would've anticipated in a million years that she and Wayne would ever do that with one another. Andrea didn't even know he'd return those said feelings because he was never painstakingly obvious about that sort of thing. Wayne seemed to be able to sense that Andrea had woken up from her slumber because not even a full minute later, his eyes fluttered open too.
Both of them were too tired to utter a single word to each other, so the teenage duo just simply sat there quietly. Completely entranced in one another's embraces as Wayne and Andrea awaited to arrive at their next destination. Which was of course another gas-station. How else were they supposed to get some food or anything to drink? Once they finally arrived, they watched the vehicle leave with their hands intertwined. Anyone who walked past them would automatically assume Wayne and Andrea were a couple, even before they actually became one was the funny part essentially. She would've loved to see Orlando's reaction to finding this news out considering he's been the one rooting for the two of them for years now it seemed.
"Oh my goodness, they have Monster energy drinks," Andrea couldn't refrain herself from exclaiming. Wayne simply watched the brown-haired girl with a huge grin as she sprinted over to the shelf like a toddler inside of a candy store. Her eyes began scanning all of the multi-colored cans. She's only ever had the original one before, and that's because Del had offered Andrea some of hers. "I didn't realize they made so many flavors."
