It didn't take Andrea very long to walk back to Maureen's house. It was better than being stuck in the mall with Wayne and his mother, that's for sure. The doors also were left unlocked, so it was fairly easy for her to just sneak in and head into the guest room she and Wayne would be occupying. Andrea didn't know how to feel about any of this though. The way Wayne was suddenly acting. It stung the teenage girl in a way she never thought to be possible. Andrea hated feeling disregarded and utterly being tossed to the side like a useless piece of meat. But that's kind of what Wayne's been doing ever since they'd gotten here to his mother's place. He wasn't even this clingy with her, and she's been a part of his life for years.
She sat on the bed, staring speechlessly at the wall. What was Andrea even doing here anymore? Seriously?? They couldn't stay here in Florida forever. Especially because they still had people who were after them, desperately wanting to get the teenagers in their custodies. Andrea's willing to bet Maureen didn't know that her son was an outlaw, constantly being hunted down by the Brockton police. It was practically a manchase. Andrea let out a loud sigh, placing her head into her hands. At this point, she wouldn't even be shocked if Wayne and Maureen hadn't even noticed that she'd left.
Whenever the sound of creaking footsteps echoed from outside of the room, Andrea didn't even dare looking up. Her feelings were all over the place about everything, including Wayne. What if they'd made a mistake becoming a couple? Maybe they should have just stayed friends. She really wasn't sure of what to say, how to fully feel, or how to fully think. Andrea already knew it was Wayne, even though she currently wasn't looking up at him, but somehow she could still feel his azure gaze piercing her. For a moment, he didn't say a word, just simply standing there, eyeing her curiously. She almost thought Wayne wasn't going to even bother saying a word to her until he finally.
"There you are," Wayne spoke slowly as she looked up at him. He blinked, obviously able to tell that Andrea wasn't in the happiest mood at the moment. "Why'd you leave?"
"Didn't want to intrude on your precious mother and son bonding time," She responded coldly, unable to keep the bitterness out of her voice. "How long did it take you to notice I left anyways?"
