Chapter 11- Little Things

Camille's POV

I felt my heart stop as Harry continued to speak with Alan on how he saw what he was doing would tear Zayn and him apart. So he decided to break it off with me for the sake of their friendship.

Bullshit, Styles.

Zayn was looking murderously at Harry while Niall shifted his gaze towards me where I was standing out of view from the audience.

Niall’s clear blue eyes connected with mine. I felt like everything I was hiding was put out for him to see. Every memory and thought was put in display when Niall looked at me like that. He gave me a sad look before mouthing sorry.

I shook my head. It wasn’t in his place to apologize for Harry’s mistakes. Harry was never going to give me the chance to break the band apart and you know what, I admired him for that. He fought hard to keep his band mates together and to keep his dream going even if it were at the cost of his reputation.

That was something Harry and I had in common. We would fight till the last second for our dream, but I knew when one path to my dream was closed and this was it. My job as a stylist for them was over and that’s what Harry was trying to tell me.

I slipped my cell phone out, making a mental note to throw it in a bin later, and dialed the one person I had not spoken to since the concert, the person that made me go to it in the first place.

“Stephanie,” I said breathless, I could almost imagine her lying on her bed, doing her nails and blasting the boys music.

“Camille!” She squealed. I could almost imagine her doing a little dance. “How is touring with the boys?! So now that you’re famous and dating Zayn you don’t want to be my friend,” she teased.

“I am going home Stephanie,” I could feel my voice breaking. “I need to go home.”

Stephanie stayed quiet for a couple seconds. “When do you want me to pick you up at the airport Cami?” she whispered. I know she can tell that I’m falling apart.

“In two days, I still need to book an airplane and get all my stuff together,” I mumbled.

“It’s okay Camille,” she assured me. “I’ll be there okay?”

“Okay. Thank you Steph,” I hung up before she could question me. I returned my gaze to where the boys were now on stage and sitting on amps.

Niall kept his gaze glued on me as he began strumming the guitar.

“Your hand fits in mine like it’s made just for me, but bare this in mind it was meant to be. And I’m joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheeks and it all makes sense to me,” Zayn sang softly, looking in my direction. Niall also kept his gaze glued on me.

Nothing else mattered, other than this moment with Niall. Liam sang and the other soon chorused.

“I won’t let these little things slip out of my mouth, because it’s you. It’s you, they add up too. And I’m in love with you,

“And all these little things,” Niall’s gaze connected with mine.

Louis looked in my direction throwing me a wink that made the crowd of girls cheer loudly.

“You can’t go to bed without a cup of tea, maybe that’s the reason that you talk in your sleep. And all those conversations are the secret that I keep and it makes no sense to me.” Louis chuckled, as the other joined him. He smiled sadly at me mouthing sorry. I felt my lips tug up into a small smile. They were apologizing to me, Camille Bryant, a nobody. These last few weeks with them made me feel like I was a part of a family. Like if I was a part of something massive.
