A Journey To Remember

A New Friend, and Many More to Come

5 year old Chloe's POV

I had just finished watching Ash the Trainer, my favorite show. Don hate appreciate. My daddy, Augustine Sycamore, was working on his tiny screen with the other lab people here, so I was alone. And when I'm alone, I get bored easily, so I started looking through Daddy's stuff he uses a lot. After what felt like years, Little kid time, everything is longer to children. I found a red and, uh, white I think, color ball. I threw it to the ground like I would with any other ball, but instead of coming back up to me, it stayed in the floor.

Why didn't it work? The tiny person in my head said. No she isn't crazy, she just thinks that when she's thinking, a tiny person is talking to her. She's only 5, give her a break. Did I do something wrong? I picked it up and looked at it, confused as to what I was to do with it if not throw it.

"Chloe! Where are you?" Daddy said. I hid the ball-thing in my pocket, daddy doesn't like me touching his stuff.

"I'm here daddy!" I said running over to him. "Are you done with your stuff yet?"

"Yes, in fact, I am. Now, how about you and I go for a little walk in the forest?" He replied.

"YAY!!!" I yelled, running to put on my shoes. I love going into the forest, there are so many Pokemon in there! "I'm ready!" I told daddy, and we were on our way.

Time skip to till they get to the garden in the middle of the forest

Once we finally got to the flower area, daddy let go of my hand and told me to "run along." I was looking at all the pretty flowers and other plants when I heard something move behind a bush. I slowly walked over to it and looked behind it, and saw a baby bunny Pokemon! He looked scared when I came up to him, and backed away. I carefully reached out my hand to pet him, scared he was gonna attack me. I pet his soft, fluffy ears, and he seemed to like it, so I kept doing it.

"You're so fluffy!" I said softly. Then I remembered something. "Hey wanna play?" I said as I took out the ball I got earlier. I put the ball in front of him, seeing what he would do. He slowly hopped up to it, touched the front of it, and, HE DISAPPEARED!!! I screamed as the ball started shaking, making daddy run over to me. "Daddy, DADDY!"

"What is it Sweatheart?!" He asked.

"I touched the bunny Pokemon with the red and white ball thingy I found, and it went away! Did I kill him?" I asked, not wanted to have killed him.

Daddy started laughing. "No, Sweety, you've just caught your first Pokemon!" He told me.

"I, I did?" I asked. "I did!" I squealed. I had caught a Pokemon!

Time skip till The day before Chloe's tenth birthday

Ever since then,  I played with who I learned was Bunnelby every day. He would go with me everywhere, and do almost everything with me. Now it was July 25, a day before my tenth birthday! I was soooooo excited to start my journey tomorrow, I've been waiting since I first heard of Pokemon! Since I already had Bunnelby, I decided that he was gonna be my first companion on this trip, instead of choosing Fenniken, Froakie, or Chespin, since he was my first Pokemon. All I needed was to get my Pokeballs and my Pokedex from my dad and I would be on my way!

Dad also told me that he saw 2 other kids walking down the street who were going to be getting their Pokemon tomorrow as well. I wonder which ones they'll choose! Maybe, if dad lets me meet them, we can go on our journeys together! That would be awesome!!!

"Chloe! It's 10:00! You need to go to bed so you can wake up early for your big day tomorrow!" My dad yelled from downstairs.

"Okay dad! Love you, goodnight!" I yelled back. I heard a faint 'I love you too' as I went to turn off the light and put my book away. Tomorrow was gonna be awesome.
