Dominic scrolled on his phone, accompanied by his close friend, Benjamin, as they attended a New Years party that another friend of theirs was throwing.
He had just broken up with his girlfriend last week and he honestly just needed to get his mind off of her so he decided to get out the house and attend a party.
Which clearly, was not for him. Benjamin was getting flirty with a girl he met earlier in the night and hadn't been talking to Dominic since then, and essentially, they planned on sneaking off in a bit for some alone time.
Dominic sighed, this was the wrong time to be single...
He got up, leaving Benjamin and the girl to themselves while he looked around for any faces he recognized or really just anyone to talk to because his friend was clearly no help.
He was supposed to have Kyren, his ex, off his mind by now, but boy was the thought of her bothering him right now.
Meanwhile, Kyren was back at home in a matching red lingerie set and sheer robe with her friends, taking tons of photos with the beautiful girls.
Casey was currently taking individual photos of Kyren while their third friend watched and instructed her with her poses. "Ouuu girlll Dominic missin out reallll bad right now." Elena coaxed, Kyren groaning.
"Lenaaaa you're so annoyinggg." Kyren dragged out, Adessa groaning as well. "Ky don't be like that! She was hyping you up." Adessa said, crossing her arms as Kyren rose from the loveseat she was in.
"I know but y'all know I don't wanna hear about his ass.. I bet he boo'd up right now as we speak." Kyren said, her tone softening when she said that. "Oh please I'm sure he's somewhere getting fucked up, them white boys be doing hard drugs." Casey scoffed.
"Dominic isn't like that.. he's a good boy." Kyren said, Adessa and Casey looking at each other with amused looks. "Something telling me that y'all break up wasn't messy like how you made us think." Adessa said.
"It wasn't messy at all! He just got too busy and he didn't want me to keep waiting for him like how he was doing so he did us both a favor and just ended things altogether. I only made it seem messy because he said we had to cut all contact." Kyren said.
"What? Why? If it wasn't a bad break up I don't see why y'all can't still talk." Casey said. "I know!" Kyren exclaimed in frustration. Talking about their situation was working her up all over again—she was so angry yet so confused. Why did they have to cut all contact?
Back with Dominic, he was now sharing a blunt with Benjamin, who finally reunited with him. Though there was a bit of a problem, Dominic was hogging the blunt.
"Aye bruh, you gone have to let me have the rest cause you trippin. Ain't nobody tell you to break up wit that girl." Benjamin said. There it was again. Just as Dominic was smoking his pain away, she was back on his mind that quick.
"Stop bringin that shit up bruh.. damn." Dominic sighed as he handed the blunt back over to Benjamin, shaking his head.
"Man that girl love you to death, I'm sure you could text her and she'll answer quick as hell. Try it." Benjamin nodded at him. Though it sounded like Benjamin wanted Dominic to just take advantage of Kyren's sweetness, he was right.
Kyren loved Dominic and she made it known everywhere they went. Ever since he broke up with her he couldn't stop thinking about how she reacted to him saying those words. This isn't gonna work, we need to break up.
She begged him to give them another try but he insisted that it was just going to turn out like this again. He only did no contact because he couldn't bare to see her face or speak to her knowing they weren't together.
