"Where are we going, mother?" asked Cassandra. Cass' mother told her that they would be moving in to a new home in Mortlake Mansion. The name seemed pretty scary, thought Cass. "To Mortlake Mansion, dear" mother told Cass."I'm sure Cass you will meet new friends there." her dad told her. New friends? Thought Cass. I've never had friends before. I'm a loner. I'm sure no one would love to make friends with me. Thought Cass. "Don't think of negative thoughts, Cass" said Cass' father as if he could read her daughter's mind. Cass was afraid and could not say a word.
"We're here" mother said. The place looked pretty scary for Cass and could not say anything. "Home sweet Home" her father said. It did'nt look as sweet as father said, but it looked like it could be a hundred years old.
It was evening and not a single soul could be seen except for a shadow. It looked like it would belong to a boy. And it did.
