My Intentions

21 (happy ending)

Okay y'all this is the happy-ish ending. For the next book, this'll be the ending you NEED to read.

I lowk haven't written in a hot minute so bear with me.

Valeria's POV

Three years later

"Ma, Liv hit me again," Alex complained.

"She's just a baby," I grabbed Olivia from the ground.

I kissed my four month old on the cheek, making her flash a gummy smile.

Alex is now seven. He still loves his ice cream, and his long hair. Alex has gotten much taller, standing at five feet.

Gio meets with Kaitlyn and I every other day to drop Alex off. She always meets us at a gas station and tries to talk to me.

I'm not going for it-

Kaitlyn walked in and Olivia succinctly reached for her. I made a pouty face, looking at the traitor I made.

"What's up, little guy!" Kaitlyn gave Alex a high five and a hug, "Hello, my bundles of joy"

Alex slightly turned his head to the side and screamed out of nowhere, scaring his younger sister in the process.

He is a random kid-

My fiancé gave me a kiss, making Alex fake gag. She picked up our child and held her up to the sky.

"Why couldn't we name her Simba?" Asked Kaitlyn.

"Does she look like a lion cub to you?" I placed my hands on my waist.

Kaitlyn quickly shook her head no and put down our child. I hummed in response.

"Gio said she is gonna come here to pick up Alex because she has to go somewhere else close here," I said to my partner.

"That's a little off, don't you think?" Asked Kaitlyn.

"I mean yes, but at the same time, this is Gio we're talking about," I reasoned.

"Touché"

Kaitlyn's POV

Two hours later

"Come on, buddy. We have to get ready to see your dad," I said to a sad Alex.

"But Dad isn't around when I go to her house. It's always Trey watching me," Alex threw his head back, whining.

That sucks-

"I'm sorry to hear that, but your dad is a little...wild," I voiced.

I helped Alex put on a nice outfit and even put his hair in a ponytail. A knock on the door was heard, indicating that Gio was here.

Alex hugged me one last time before going to hug Val and my first born.

"Alex will be down in a second," I said, answering the door, "Why did you come here instead of meeting at our normal spot?"

"Well, I wanted to switch things up this time," Gio answered.

"Hi, Giovanni," Val said, holding Alex's hand.

"Goodbye, Valeria. Alex, tell your mother goodbye," Gio held Alex by the shoulders.

"Goodbye, mother?" Alex questioned himself.

That's weird-

"Well, we better get going. Don't wanna be late. We hate being late. Valeria doesn't though. In fact, she loves being late, don't you?" Gio smirked.

Val looked shocked.

What the fuck is going on-

"I love you, Bud. I'll see you soon," I told Alex, heading back inside the house.

"I wanted to talk to Val actually," Gio said.

You just said you were in a hurry-

Val hesitantly stepped outside and closed the door.

Valeria's POV

"Whatever this is, make it quick," I said looking into Gio's eyes.

"Why her?" She asked.

"What do you mean 'why her?' She treats me with respect. She has never cheated on me. She has never made me feel like I'm too much to deal with. That's 'why her'," I said with air quotes.

"When did I ever make you feel like you were too much to deal with?" Gio crossed her arms.

"When my water broke, you didn't even wanna be near me. You literally threw my phone at me, not looking up from yours. That's not the kind of person I wanna be with. Kaitlyn is helping me grow and learn healthy relationship skills. And on top of that-" I was cut off.

So rude-

"Yeah, whatever. It was supposed to be us til the end. She ruined it. Do you know how many nights I sit up, trying to figure out what I did wrong?" Gio's voice came off a little too aggressive for my liking.

"You robbed yourself. You cheated on me Gio. That's what you did wrong. Now, if you don't mind, I have a fiancé and child to tend to," I said, walking into the house and locking the door.

As much as I wanted to hug her one last time, I couldn't bring myself to do it. I hate that she makes me feel this way.

Maybe in another lifetime, it'll be us in the endgame. Maybe she won't cheat. Maybe we'll be able to get through anything.

My main priorities as of right now are having good parenting skills for both of my children, maintaining a healthy relationship with Kaitlyn, and having a healthy co-parenting relationship.

Those are all of My Intentions.
