Six months later

"Slow down, you two!" I yelled out to Alex and Madison's son, Michael.

Madison and I slowly became best friends. Kaitlyn wasn't okay with me being friends with an ex but she's starting to feel better about it.

Gio still tries to get me to break up with Kaitlyn just to get back with her. I will never be getting back with her, and she knows that.

My teaching career is going well. They're pretty good kids for the most part. I stop teaching for ten minutes and let them do whatever they want.

"I love you," I told Kaitlyn after her laughter was over.

"Are you guys having fun?" Kaitlyn asked.

"That's good. What's the cup of ice for?" I asked, putting my book down.
