I stood at the counter and counted the money in my purse before we headed off to the theater. I had almost everything I might need and even stuff that didn't make any sense to carry in there anyway. I sighed and waited for Lynn to come downstairs so we could leave, I wouldn't head out without her.

"Hey amber,are you excited for this movie?" Lynn walked into the room and wrapped her arms around my waist and she placed a kiss on my cheek.

I smiled and rested my head on her shoulder. "I've never been a fan of creepy things but I'm going because I love you."

"I love you too." She smiled and placed a soft kiss on my lips. I grabbed my purse and we were out the door. As soon as we approached the car, I got into the driver's seat. The car was still cold because it had to sit outside in the winter so I turned the heat on all the way. In no time I pulled into the parking lot and parked as close to the theatre that I could. I cut the engine and we walked up to the ticket booth together. She held my hand while we waited in line to get tickets for the movie.

"Ugh why is it so cold out here?" Lynn sighed and shook herself in an attempt to keep warm. I smiled and pulled her hand up to my lips to kiss the back of her hand.

"Did that help?" I smiled and she nodded.

As soon as we reached the front of the line I reached into my purse to grab my wallet so I could pay for the tickets. While I had the tickets in hand, Lynn went up to the snack counter and ordered a popcorn and a soda for the two of us to share.

We went into the movie and we found some seats toward the back of the theatre so we could snuggle as much as we wanted to. The previews stopped rolling and the movie started, it was as creepy as can be but Lynn was loving it. Of course the movie had jump scares, they made me flinch and scream a little every time one popped up on the screen.

"Hey, are you doing okay?" Lynn touched my arm and I flinched at her cold hands.

I turned to her and nodded my head before resting my head on her shoulder.

"You know, if you're not feeling this then we can go do something else." She rubbed my arm and rested her head on mine.

"But you really like this movie, why would I spoil that for you?" I frowned.

She rolled her eyes and grabbed my hand. "C'mon, let's get out of here." I followed her out of the theater and we were soon outside in the cold air. She smiled and we walked back to the car, I got into the driver's seat and we started driving with no destination in particular.

"So what did you want to do?" I asked as we drove down the street.

She shrugged and leaned back in the seat. "Do you want to go get some ice cream or something? We can just hang out and eat if you want."

"Oh sure." I smiled and made a turn so we could head to the nearest ice cream shop. I pulled into the parking lot and we walked into the store. We were greeted by empty aisles and unimpressed workers, but we knew what we needed. We went straight to the freezer section and I reached for vanilla ice cream right away, then we ran to where the toppings were, grabbing whip cream,caramel,chocolate, sprinkles, and marshmallows to make the perfect sundae.

We checked out and ran back to the car to get home before the ice cream melted, and we were successful. She grabbed two bowls and spoons while I carried in the groceries, we treated it like an emergency procedure. We served ourselves up and went over to the couch to watch a movie, something that wasn't scary.

"Is this better?" She smiled and rubbed my knee.

"Much better." I smiled and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
