I heard a knock on my window. I ignored it hoping it would go away. The knocking continued louder than before. I groaned before getting out my bed. I walked towards my basement room window, I almost stumbled upon the empty Fanta cans.
The darkness the basement offered was always soothing, and I just got really annoyed when my little sister Hannah would mess up my stuff and on the other end of it one of my older sisters Anjana was constantly borrowing my clothes. I decided to move to the basement, the perfect WiFi spot in the house and all I needed was to move the refrigerator down here, I'd be settled for life.
I opened the window letting the sunlight along with spring's outrageous heat in. Squinted my eyes at the sun's light.
"Indie, I called you like fifty times and you didn't pick up? " Jared Collins my best friend uttered annoyed. He jumped in through the window. He immediately flicked on the light switch.
He wore a tank top typically showing off the fact he has been at the gym everyday according to his Instagram. He had green glorious eyes, brown sandy that matched his brown khaki shorts and full pink lips. I secretly thought he did the Kylie Jenner Challenge.
"Does it mean you should interrupt me so early in the morning" I uttered trying to tame my outrageous Indian messy hair into a messy ponytail. I was shocked that even after brushing it every night it would always end up like two hamsters where fighting in it.
"Its almost six PM." He rolled his eyes, as he fell comfortably onto my bean bag which was opposite my double sized bed.
"Its still morning according to My-Time, Indie-Time "
"Indie-Time" Jared slowly nodded his head in a sense of mocking me. "Well according to Seattle time it's late afternoon."
I narrowed my set of brown big eyes at him. I viciously threw a pillow at him.
"What do you want?" I whined like an eight year old.
"Don't you have a some stupid plot of getting that new girl's attention" I laid back on my bed, gazing down at him, his green eyes gazed up from his phone to meet my brown ones.
"Remember your prank on Jasmine James?" He said as he bite his lips and glanced at his phone for a split second and back on me.
"How could I forget, that was like the highlight of my weekend" I smirked.
"Well she looked seriously ticked off, better watch Indie"
"Oh no I'm so scared what's she going to do break my best designer Chanel high heels. Omg I'm so scared." I blurted out sarcastically. I stood up jerking my head towards the stairs, ordering for him to follow.
"You don't wear high heels." He chuckled as we reached the corridor.
"I'd literally pay a hundred dollars to see my Best friend Indiana Singh walk down a catwalk in heels."
"I'd pay me a hundred bucks to see myself in a dress" I joked back as we irrupted into laugher a entering the kitchen. Meeting Mum cooking chicken curry, and roti with the help of my sister Anjana. They looked similar with the same highlighted brown straight hair to their hazel green eyes.
"Lets make a bet" He smirked.
"I'm listening" I smiled as I grabbed a bottle of water from the refrigerator and settled near him on a stool.
"Next week, is Sean's beach party, I triple dog dare you to wear a dress and to be my date, with an interest hundred dollars " He's eyebrows wiggled.
"You using me a bait to get that new girl's attention " I rolled my eyes.
"Maybe, you can't turn down a triple dog dare its in the rule book we made in sixth grade. "
