It was in 8th grade, I was a late bloomer, I was fat and ugly as I was told everyday and all I remember was my crush calling me that. I prayed every night too be skinny and that didn't happen. great! I thought, I wanted to be skinny and perfect but I will never be there. I prayed for puberty to hit me like a bus and it finally did.

So Sammy has like regained contact with his old childhood friend9(Jack Gilinsky) and then thinks the sister(Amanda 'Mandy' Gilinsky )is hot and starts to fall for her. She doesn't like him as he teased and bullied her for being over weight and ugly and thinks the only reason he likes her is because of how she looks. So Sammy tries to show her that his love is genuine.
