Chapter 3: Chloe

"What up party people!" I yell slamming the door to the new girls cabin open.

"Shh! Liz is sleeping!" Nad whisper-yells.

"Crap sorry!" I yelp then cover my mouth with my hands.

"It's fine I'm awake now." Liz says sitting up from her bunk.

The cabin Gally and the builders made us is pretty big, there are two bunk beds along the back and front wall and one on each side. All the beds are pushed against the wall so in the middle there's quite a lot of room. Gally said he would expand the room or make more beds if more girls came. Beside the door is a bathroom, sink, toilet, shower.

I walk over to my bed, the far corner bottom bunk. The best bed. Lizzy is above me and Nad is the bottom beside me.

Liz hangs her head down her hair falling in my face.

I push her hair out of my face. "How was your sleep?"

"Pretty good. I talked to Minho, he said I don't have to run today. Dunno how I convinced him."

"Good job!" I smile.

"I have to head to work soon." Nad says.

In the month Nad has been here she had got a job in the kitchen with Frypan.

"Aww." Liz complains. "Well we'll see you soon."

"What's for lunch?" I ask.

"Probably eggs." Nad replys heading out the door.

"I didn't bring any eggs.." I say after the doors closed. "Maybe Winston did.."

"Probably not." Liz laughs. "Guess we'll see soon enough."

"Yeah." I laugh. "Do we think Greenies a girl or boy?"

"I don't know.." Liz admits."I hope it's another girl. But then again it could very well be a boy."

"That's what I'm thinking!" I say with a grin. "Your face is really red."

"I can feel it." She lifts her head up.

"You look like a tomato!" I laugh.

"Thanks" Liz laughs sarcastically.

"Of course!" I smile. "I might need to get those eggs.."

"Maybe." Liz says.

"Well I'll be back then." I sigh standing up from my bed. "See you soon!"

I close the door running to the barn.

I quickly collect the eggs and run to the kitchen. Well almost do. I'm halfway there when I trip over my own two feet and drop the eggs cracking them all over the grass.

I look down at the eggs. "Crap." I look through all of them checking to see if any made it. None did.  "How did all of the eggs crack. That's crazy."

I walk to the kitchen.

"Ah! Chloe! We need eggs!" Frypan says.

"Funny story... I kinda dropped them all and they all broke.. I'm so so so sorry."

Frypan looks up from the sink. "What."

"Yeah.." I say. "Um.. I'm sorry."

Nad looks at me and laughs. "It's fine. I promise. We'll find something else.

"Are you sure?" I ask. "I feel bad. I'm sure we could salvage some of them."

"I'm not feeding hungry teenage bo- wait maybe." Fry says thinking. "Get me the eggs. If we scramble them... No one will know!"
