Brantley's POV

Ah shit.. I groaned silently when I saw her. This was the last thing I needed tonight. I wasn't in a great mood as it was, and I got the distinct feeling it was only going to get worse. "Brantley! So glad I could catch you!" My ex whined out in that nasally voice. It made my ears hurt. I didn't say anything, just stuck my hands in my pockets and nodded at her. "How've you been? God I miss you baby.." She started, stepping into my personal space. I stepped back and out my hand up to stop her. "Cut the shit Jana. What do you want?" I rumbled out. She did that fake pout thing that I couldn't stand. The girl was always playing games. "I just want to see if we could maybe sort out our differences. I've been lonely B.." She murmured, stroking my chest. I stepped back once again and lit a cigarette. "Go home Jana." I told her gruffly, turning away. She scrambled around in front of me. "But B!" She whined again. "Ain't you with that boy from Atlanta? Your ol man know his woman is sniffin around her ex? Huh? Tell me Jana, does he know you're out here lookin for a quick fuck in the bathroom? Oh wait.. That's not it. Maybe this is what you're after huh? I heard he lost his job, I'm sorry to hear that." I growled, flashing a wad of hundreds that I pulled from my pocket. Her eyes shined and I knew I caught her. "Yeah that's what I thought." I went to go around her again. But once more she stepped in my way, digging the fake nails on her hands into my chest. "Watch the talons.." I warned, peeling her hands away from me. "You ain't nothin but a piece of gold-diggin trash. Get out of my face." I growled. Jana and I had a looong history, none of it pretty. She reared back and went to slap me. But a slim little wrist stopped her. "Get lost bitch. He hasn't said anything that wasn't true. Go home. You ain't welcome here. Members only." The smaller woman growled, standing up for me. She stepped between me and Jana, she was a tiny little thing, her head barely coming to my ex's shoulder. She had golden brown hair, and the sweetest ass in Georgia, considering her back was to me. Jana stormed off. "Thank you for that. I really do appreciate it." I told her honestly. She turned to me, and I almost stuttered she was so gorgeous. "You're welcome." She said simply, preparing to walk off. "Wait! I'm Brantley." I stuck my hand out. She looked at it, then shook it lightly. My palm dwarfed hers. "I know. I'm Jessa." She half grinned. "Is there some way I could thank you for that? Take you out to dinner maybe?" I asked hopefully. "No worries, we're square. She was making the rest of us women look bad. I was only doing what was right." She said honestly. "Any chance I could get your number? Or give you mine?" I asked again. "Nope. See you around Gilbert.." She smirked and wandered off back into the crowd. Had I just been turned down by a woman? What the hell? That never happens. My pride felt a little stung to be honest. A passing redhead looked me up and down then bit her lip in silent invitation. "Not tonight darlin. Maybe next time." I sighed. My eyes were locked on Jessa heading out the front door. I walked out after her. I made it through the front door just as she climbed onto a classic Harley softtail, and slung gravel as she left and hit the highway. Hot damn.... Now that's a woman.
