Pretending Not To Remember: A Second Chance

Chapter Twelve

That night while everyone is sleeping Wei Ying went to take one of Uncle fourth wine bottle to drink. 'Tomorrow, we are heading to the Nie clan to get ready for the war against Wen Ruohan. I should go back before everyone wakes up,' he stay out there until he finish all of the wine in his hand.

Before the sunrise Wei Ying left the Wen residence and walk back to the Jiang clan. When he walk back along the street of Yunmeng town, he can feel how quiet the place is. Just when he arrive at the front door of the Jiang clan, he see Lan Zhan is standing in front of the doorway.

Lan Zhan who woke up early is waiting for Wei Ying to come back to the Jiang clan. When he finally saw Wei Ying, he somehow feel very happy to see that Wei Ying is safe. "Why are you out here Lan Wangji?" Somehow when Lan Zhan hear Wei Ying from this time line calling him by his courtesy name, he felt his heart is about to break into thousand of piece.

Lan Zhan avoided Wei Ying eye, "I was waiting for your return. You didn't come inside until Jiang Cheng ask me where did you go? I won't ask you about it."

Wei Ying let's out a sigh, 'oh Lan Zhan, I wish that I can tell you the truth but I can't.' He walk up to Lan Zhan, he pull Lan Zhan into his arm and kissed him, 'I'm sorry, forgive me for lying to you.'

Lan Zhan couldn't resist so he wrap his arm around Wei Ying neck and pull Wei Ying in closer to him. The kiss went from slow to more passionate, the two of them couldn't let go of each other.

When air become a problem the two of them pull away. Wei Ying have on a smile, "You look very cute when you blush," he touched Lan Zhan cheek. "Lan Zhan," Lan Zhan eye went wide at the way Wei Ying said his name.

"Do you want me to be your Wei Ying?" 'What am I saying? I am his Wei ying. I can't even push Lan Zhan away from me.' Wei Ying kissed Lan Zhan forehead, "What do you said?"

Lan Zhan push Wei Ying away, "No," Wei Ying just let out a sigh, "Whatever you said," with that he walk pass Lan Zhan to head into the Jiang clan. Lan Zhan just standing there touching his lip, 'am I falling for this Wei Ying? What will you said if you see me like this, Wei Ying?' He turn around to walk back into the Jiang clan as well.

The next day, the Jiang clan along with Lan Xichen and Lan Zhan all head to the Nie clan. Wei Ying watch as everyone got on their sword to fly to the Nie clan.

'Okay Wei Wuxian, you can do this. Trust your sword, trust Suibian," he hold his sword up in front of him, "alright my friend, I'm counting on you," the sword flew out from it scabbard, it floated in front of Wei Ying.

He step on his sword, "take it slow Suibian, then you can speed up," Suibian did as he was told. It was a slow, smooth ride for Wei Ying. "Let's speed up a little bit faster Suibian," Suibian went a little bit faster this time.

When Wei Ying got use to it, "Let's speed up Suibian!" With a big smile on his face, he felt the wind flying pass him as he went to catch up with the others. He flew next to Jiang Cheng, "what took you so long?" Asked Jiang Cheng.

"Just want to enjoy the scenery that's all," He gave Jiang Cheng a grin. Jiang Cheng let out a sigh, "stay close won't you? I don't want Niang to scold at you for not coming with us."

"I know I know," 'It look like Jiang Cheng is begin to care about me, well more like the Wei Ying of this timeline. I do enjoy how he is treating me,' He look up ahead of him, 'I get the feeling that when the right time come, something will happen when I tell Lan Zhan that I am Wei Wuxian from the future.'

They soon arrive at the Nie clan. "A-Cheng, A-Xian, why don't you two go tell everyone that we will go into battle very soon. Tell them to get themselves ready for battle," the two of them gave a nod and left from there.

"A-Huan, A-Zhan, you two go do the same," the two Lan brothers gave a nod, and left from there.

"Wei xiong!" Wei Ying look up ahead of him, "Nie Xiong!" He wave back at Nie Huaisang. "Can I help with anything? Da ge won't let me join the war, since I can't hold a saber," asked Nie Huaisang.

"I been wondering about that, how come?" Asked Wei Ying.

"Wei xiong, you know that my clan use saber to fight right? We are different from other clan, they use sword while we use saber. Our previous sect leader saber need blood so that they won't get kill by their saber. I think is more like....the saber is full of dark energy," this make Jiang Cheng and Wei Ying to look at one another.

"Do you think that I can see you brother saber?" Wei Ying asked. "Ummm, how about when everyone is sleeping then we can go to where da ge saber is at?" Wei Ying nodded his head, so the three went to tell all of the other disciple about how they will go to war against the Wen clan very soon.

So that night We Ying went to meet up with Nie Huaisang, "Nie xiong," Nie Huaisang turn to his right to see Wei Ying is walking towards him. "Wei xiong, is in here," they are right in front of the main room of the Nie clan.

The two of them went to where Nie Mingjue saber is at. Wei Ying hovered his hand over the saber, "indeed there is malicious within your brother saber Nie xiong. All they want is blood, blood to control the anger within the saber. I can cleanse it for you but we can't let anyone hear it."

"I know," Nie Huaisang went to put silence talisman all around the window and door, this way no sound will leave the room. "Wei xiong?" Wei Ying nodded his head. He take out his flute and begin to play the eerie music.

The Yin Hufu came out, and it float above the saber. Nie Huaisang watch as dark energy from within the saber came out and went into the Yin Hufu.

About an hour or so later, the last dark energy left the saber and went into the Yin Hufu. Wei Ying stop playing, "Your brother saber is clean now. Nothing will happen to him," Nie Huaisang let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank you Wei xiong," Wei Ying gave a nod.

The next morning before Nie Huaisang let's his brother to go meet up with the other sect leader, he went to his brother room. "Da ge, can we talk for a minute?" Nie Mingjue nodded his head, "what is it?" Nie Mingjue asked his didi.

"Last night, Wei xiong and I help cleanse your saber. No matter how much you use Baxia to kill other people. You won't die from it."

"Your scare that I will be like our previous sect leader?" Nie Huaisang nodded his head. "Is that why you don't want to take up our sect saber?" Nie Huaisang nodded his head again.

"Thank you, Huaisang."
