July 26, 1991, was a special day for Melanie Lightwood. The day she received her letter from the most famous school for wizards and witches Hogwarts. At 8:00 a.m. Melanie Lightwood who was still sleeping in her bed. Who would soon be awakened by her three siblings. It is a tradition among the Lightwood family when a letter from Hogwarts arrives for the first time, that they get up earlier and wake each other up.
Alec, Isabelle and Max Lightwood quietly entered their sister's room. They know if you wake her up in the middle of the night or early in the morning you have to have a good reason or else you can say, run away and find a good hiding place.
The three siblings stood around her double bed with an anxious look on their faces. Her pillows pink, white and patterned with gold and white colored stripes thrown or rolled on the floor as she moved around while she slept. The fairy lights hanging around her bed that were off. The tray that is filled with three candles, that is put on a safe place on her makeup table. The pink blanket that is wrapped around her shoulders. The three picture frames that hang above her bed, one with her family and two empty.

"So... Who's going to wake her up?" Alec whispered, looking at his siblings with a letter in his hand.
Izzy and Max looked at each other and then back at Alec. With that look, he immediately knew what they meant and shook his head rapidly. "No, no, no and no!"
