Freaks of History

I know it's been a long while since I've uploaded but I've been extremely busy with load of different stuff so finally here's chapter five :) hope you enjoy and don't forget to like and comment.

Leo's P.O.V

Everyone just stood there, not sure on what to say. They were scared and confused and I expected this at the beginning but it was now getting to the point where the silence was slowly killing me. Am I that much to be afraid of? Am I dangerous? I was looking at their faces as I watched them talk amongst each other and they seemed a bit more relaxed so I decided to start walking closer to them. Big mistake.

"Stay away from us, freak!" Someone shouted out.

I froze. A freak. Is that really what I am?

"Hey!" A voice snapped back. "He just saved our lives."

I scanned the crowd to find Abbey shouting at the top of her lungs to then look at me and smile.

"Thank you" I mouthed at her and smiled back.

"So, he's still a freak." another voice came from the sea of people.

"Yeah!" some random people chimed out, in an out of sync with each other.

"I.....I uh" I couldn't get anything out of my mouth.

I looked down at my feet not knowing what I could say to who I thought were my friends. I could hear my heart beating irregularly from the uneasy feeling that lay deep in my chest.

"If you have a problem with the fact that Leo just saved all your lives because he's gifted, then why don't you go fuck yourselves," Abbey walked out of the crowds and made her way over to me.

"But what if he uses his powers on us?"

"Don't you think," Charlotte forced her way through the mesh of people, "that if Leo wanted to use his powers on us he would of done it by now?"

She then joined Abbey and I whilst a few of them mumbled in the truth factor of Charlottes statement.

"But how do we know we're safe around him?"

"Becau-"

"Because I protect you." I cut Abbey off. "I have these powers to protect you. Granted, I was trying to keep them secret and I had been doing well until today, for example the fire that happened in the first week of college."

"They said someone had got in and managed to contain it before the fire brigade even got here."

"Exactly, that was me!" I explained. "All those incidents that have happened across town and somehow mysteriously resolved over the past two years, they were all me. See I'm not here to hurt you, I'm here to protect."

"Well I believe him," Adam burst out of the crowd.

"And so do we." Kylie and Kasey exclaimed in unison.

The three of them walked over to me, Charlotte and Abbey, and as I looked to my right and left I noticed Griffiths and a few others came along and joined the line until only a handful of people stood opposite us.

"Well believe me or not," I started, "but I am not going to hurt you....... unless you really piss me off." I stuck my tongue out childishly.

The people who stood opposite scattered across the grey rocky carpet and made their way to other areas of the college.

"Right guys," Griffiths broke off everyone's conversation. "As you can probably imagine lessons are cancelled for the rest of the day until we figure out how to fix the theatre..."
