Abbey's P.O.V

I was absolutely blown away. I just couldn't believe it. Leo was doing it again, he was controlling water right in front of me and even better than last time. What was amazing was the fact he managed to turn this ball of water into a replica of my face....it was just wow.

"Hey go in my bag and pull out a black book for me?" Leo's question interrupted my thoughts and astonishment. I quickly grabbed his satchel, placed it on my lap and unzipped the top to have a look inside for the book. As I searched through the bag I found a small black book with engravings all over the cover. The engravings had different shades of blue running through it, with it starting off as a light blue at the top and it got darker as it went down. My fingers slowly trailed over the bumped out letters that were on the book. It read "Spells of Chione".

"Leo what is this book?" I looked up to ask him.

"It's a book of spells from the Greek goddess Chione. Chione is a Greek deity, she's known as the goddess of snow and that book in your hands is a book of spells to do with water," he replied whilst smiling with his eyes staring at me all deep and blue.....wait his eyes are blue they're usually brown. Wow I am so confused his natural eye colour is brown but...but his eyes are blue right now.

"Leo your eyes are blue, how are they blue? They're usually brown." I looked at him weirdly.

"Oh haha that," he started chuckling. "When I use my powers my eyes change colour. Anyway pass me the book, I'm about to show you something really cool," he stated excitedly.

I passed him the book and with his free hand he flicked it open to a page called 'everlasting frost'. Then his other hand started to move in which the water replica of my face started to turn...into...a...heart. It was a heart, much smaller than the size if the face too as I noticed he separated some of the water and dropped it back into the stream. Leo then stood up and placed the book down on the walk path whilst keeping his one arm up to control the water, then he picked up his other arm and quickly pushed it into the direction of the heart. As he did that the heart froze creating a beautiful solid, clear heart with a hole running through from the left to the right.

"Chione goddess of snow," Leo started calling out, "use my power and let it grow. Turn this ice into an everlasting sight. Make this frost last through the day and night".

With those words a light glowed within the heart and it grew bigger covering the whole heart in a cloud if pure light that was so bright you couldn't see it anymore. After a while the light dimmed slowly revealing the heart of ice until the light had completely disappeared.

"Give me your necklace." Leo's voice snapped me out of my interest in what just took place.

"What?" I asked him still in amazement of what happened.

"The silver necklace around your neck; take it off and give it to me!" He seemed very adamant so I obeyed him and passed him the silver chain.

Then still controlling the heart he pulled it closer to him until it was in his grasp. I watched him intently as he slide the chain through the small hole and slipped the heart onto it.

"There you go," he smiled at me; his eyes now back to his natural colour.

Leo passed me the chain with the heart on it but I was still confused. It was just ice it would still melt and surely the ice is still going to be cold.

"What?" He asked me. Clearly he saw my puzzled expression that had been plastered across my face as if someone had painted a permanent picture of it.

"It's ice, surely it will melt?"

"Actually no, that's why I used the spell," he started to explain "you see my powers allow me to manipulate water which includes freezing it at any point, but using that spell will allow me to keep something frozen for ever. That's why it's called everlasting frost. So basically it will never melt".
