Freddie's POV

"Mr.McClair please come in. Mr.Ford will see you now." Finally said Lydia, my boss's personal assistant. I know her from when I was a little kid and Ford took me under his protection. She was a few years older than me and I've always had a little crush on her. Probably it's her appearance. She's totally hot. Red hair, perfect lips and deep green eyes. I've fucked her a few times but that's it. End of story.

"Spare the typical Lydia, for fuck sake." I answered back to her with my sarcastic tone.

"Fuck off Freddie." she giggled. oh yeah she wants me.

I entered the office. I was about to announce him the bad news but I wasn't scared at all. I'm never scared of anything and Ford knows that. He raised me like I was his son, teaching me about strength, manipulation and of course how to pull the trigger.

When I was 14, he apocalypsed me what he does. How he became such a powerful man. And he offered me job. He said I was ready now. And of course I gladly accepted. For all of my life I wanted him to be proud of me, to look up to me like equal and admire my work. I was a professional. Never left a single clue to the police that could lead to him. Never betrayed him. Never disobeyed him. Until I met her.

"Hello sir."

"McClair. Finally."

Michael Ford. Such an impatient and sadistic man. He is 37 years old. Reach like hell. He is capable of doing anything to take what he wants.

"So." he continued. "Where is my code?"

"I'm afraid that our plan failed sir. That boy, Evans. He exposed me so I don't have access to it anymore."

He stayed silent for a few minutes.

"I'm sorry sir, but there's nothing we can do. And for the record, the money isn't yours. It's hers. She deserves it after.."

"You fell in love with her." His ironic tone was something more than obvious.

"No. Listen, I just said.."

"No no no you listen to me very carefully, boy. I want what's mine. Kill the boy whose father betrayed me and take the damn thing before I lose my patience and put a bullet in her head too. Understood?"

"Yes sir."

"Now go. I can't even look at you." he said and he returned to his work like nothing happened. He didn't have to say it again. I turned around and left the building.

Scott's POV

I decided to do as she says. Tell her everything. After all, she deserves to know. I just don't wanna hurt her..She's already like crap for all that stuff with Freddie..God why did she chose him? Why did it have to be him?

"Fine. I'll tell you."

"Good. Let's get started then."

"What do you want to know?"

"First of all who is he. From who does he work and why does he want my father's money."

"His name is Freddie as he told you. I met him when I was a kid, we used to be friends back then actually. Until his parents died. After that, everything has changed."

"How did they die? Were they murdered?"

"I don't know that. He never talks about his parents."

"So, when they died..what happened to your friendship?"

"Then was when he met Michael Ford. He runs a lot of business, but not exactly in the right legal way. He can do anything to anyone. Not the right one to be your enemy."

"Are you afraid of him?"

"Everyone should be. If you get in his way, he won't stop until he gets what he wants or kill you."

"So Freddie? Is he afraid too? That's why he does what he says?"

"No, Freddie is a completely different case. Ford took him away from me. Trained him to be what he is now. To hire him to do the dirty job."

She didn't answer. I think that's too much for her, I can't do this.

"I think you should take some sleep now Gabs, you don't look really.."

"No. I need to know more."

"Gabs please just do this for me okay? You look tired."

"Why do you care anyway?"

"Are you seriously asking me that now? We are my friend. You mean too much to me, you know that."

"I know that you're in love with me."

She came closer. No. I can't do this now. She's hurt and all she wants is to be self-destructive. I can't let her ruin our relationship cause then, she will be alone. She doesn't have anyone else. I can't do this to her, no matter how much I want it. No matter how much I want her.

I put her on the bed, gave her a kiss on the cheek for good night and got out.

"Hello, Scott."

That was a familiar voice.
