As soon as we arrived in London, we stopped at the Ben and Jerry's to grab some coffee and ice cream and then straight to Scott's father's house.

Freddie stayed in the car. I knocked the door and an old man, obviously his father, opened me.

"Good morning miss. What can I do for you?" his voice was calm, he seemed like a really kind man.

"Good morning sir. I'm Gabriella and I'm here to see Scott."

"Oh yeah. The famous Gabriella Obrien. I knew your father. He was a great man."

"Yeah he was." I smiled kindly.

He called Scott and he came after a few moments. When he saw me, he ran immediately and hugged me so tight I thought he was gonna drown me.

"Oh my god Scott, thank god you're ok." I couldn't stop my tears running down my face as I was holding him close. We got in the house and his father offered to make us coffee.

I was crying in Scott's arms telling him how much I was worried.

"Gabriella, it's all fine. We're fine." he comforted me.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm better that okay Gabs. The plan worked. That's all that matters."

His father brought us the coffee and he sat with us at the living room.

"So, Gabriella we meet at last. I've heard so much about you."

"I've heard so much about you too Mr.Evans. But I still don't get it. What's your connection with Michael Ford?"

"That's a really long story. Are you sure you wanna hear this right now?"

"Yes I'm sure. If that's okay with you."

"I first met Michael when we were both young, studying management at San Francisco. We were friends. When we finished our education, he informed me that he had already a business on his own he was about to manage. When I asked why hadn't he told me about this earlier, he replied that he wanted to surprise me cause he wanted to offer me job. He was always a mysterious man. I accepted of course, it was a great opportunity that job. For many years, we were working together. He was my boss and I became his personal assistant. That was when I found out about his other self. He wasn't as honest as I thought he was. He had dozens of people, for his dirty works. Manipulate, tricking, killing. He tried to explain but I didn't wanna hear him. I told him I would quit, and that was when he threatened my wife. Scott's mother. I was forced to do as he says for a long time. We made a deal that I'll work for him for five years and then I will be done. But he didn't kept his promise. He killed her in cold blood. And he tried to kill me too, in order to take Scott under his protection. But I managed to get us out of country and disappear for good."

"He killed my parents too..didn't he?"

He didn't answer for a few moments. But the answer was something more than obvious.

"Why? Why did he do that? What have they done to him?"

"Your father was working for him too for a short period. When he found out who he was and what he was doing, he managed to trick him, and steal from him 2 million dollars."

Fucking shit. My father's account. The code Freddie wanted so desperately.

"But he didn't got away with it."

"And he let me live so that he could take, even after many years, his money back."

"That's correct."

"Holy crap."

"We should go. It's getting dark. Shall we Gab?" Scott suggested.

"Yeah sure."

We got up and headed to the door.

"It was nice meeting you sir."

"You too child. And take care."

We got in the car and Freddie drove back to the university. None of us said a word.

Freddie's POV

I put her to sleep and then me and Scott got out to talk.

"Why didn't you tell her?"

"She would have tried to stop me."

"Maybe you should, stop. It's dangerous Freddie. We will find another way."

"There is no other way, you know that. Ford has destroyed her life. And yours. And mine. He has to be stopped."

"When will you do it?"

"Right now."

"You're going there now?"

"Yes. I'll put a silencer on my gun so nobody will understand a thing. Lydia will cover up for me. It's all settled."

"Seems like a good plan. Is there a chance it won't go as it's planned?"

I didn't answer. It was a risk I was willing to take.

"Good luck Freddie." he hugged me. He seemed really anxious about me.

"Thanks Scott."

"It took us a long time to work things out between us ha?" I said ironicly.

"I love you Freddie. You should know that."

"I love you too bro. And I'm sorry. I should go now."

I left before Scott would see a tear coming out from my eye. I drove to Ford's office.

"Hey Lydia."

"Freddie. Finally. I thought you wouldn't have come." She seemed worried too.

"Here I am. Do you remember what you have to do?"

"Yes. But, be careful. Please. Ford isn't a fool."

"Trust me I know he's not."

I got in the office and took my gun in my hand pointing at him.

"Hello Ford."

"Freddie." his voice was calm as always. He didn't seem upset at all I was holding my gun against him.

"Put this down, boy. We both know you can't do it."

"Try me."

"Are you gonna kill me Freddie? I saved your life."

"You destroyed my life." I was angry. I filled the gun making it ready to shoot.

"I saved you from that pathetic asshole, your father." he pulled his gun too, pointing at me.

"What?"

"Yes Freddie. I killed them. Actually I didn't kill them. I turned them to pieces."

I couldn't control myself anymore. I shoot. And so did he.
