"You know you can text him first, right?"
Jake laughed, peeking over his laptop at Jungwon. He was lying down on his bed, his head hanging from it, and staring at the black screen of his phone, which he had thrown earlier on the floor.
"Who, what?" He pitched up his voice, which irritated Jake's ears.
"Don't act dumb. You've been reading your texts with Jay for more than five minutes now. Just call him if you've missed him."
"It's not like that!" Jungwon rolled his eyes. "My parents got him a spot in our dorm, so I just wanted to know if he needs help with moving." He explained softly, then he realized that the tone of his voice was too gentle, and his friend was staring at him. He lifted his body and tried to defend himself. "Because I am the school president and-"
"And it's your duty, blah blah blah. Are you seriously trying to lie to me? Did you forget that making up scenarios is kind of my thing?" He laughed again, adjusting his glasses. Jungwon sighed, sitting straight on the bed.
"But it's not a complete lie..." he said, then sighed again. Jaeyun, I—" he pursed his lips. He brought his knees closer to his chest and embraced them with his arms.
"Hm?" His friend looked at him worryingly. "Did something happen?" He furrowed his brows, and put down his laptop. He scouted closer to his friend and put his hand on his knee. He hasn't seen Jungwon in such a state for a long time.
"I think I might like guys..."
There was a silence for a few seconds. Jungwon didn't dare to look up at his face. Jake opened his mouth slowly and smacked his lips.
"Are you okay with that?" Jungwon asked, making the room drop dead silent.
Jake stuttered for a second, unable to gather his thoughts. He raised one of his eyebrows and took a deep breath.
"I'm hiding in your room because Heeseung bribed Ni-ki to change the rooms with him, so now he is all over me any chance he gets, literally, and you're asking me if I'm fine with you liking guys? What do you want me to say? No, Jungwon, I am not fine with it, because there is only space for one gay in a friend group. You're making it unbalanced."
Jungwon stared at him, amazed. His high-pitched tone and annoyed expression released tension from Jungwon's shoulders. He let himself giggle. Then, he laughed out loud.
Jake scoffed, and joined him, not believing the foolishness of his friend.
"Wait..." Jungwon stopped for a second. "What did you say about Heeseung?"
Jake's cheeks became red, he quickly pulled away, leaned his back on the bed frame, and hid his face with a laptop.
"Hey, come on!" Jungwon begged him to continue. "I'm your best friend, I should know if he's... bothering you." He raised his eyebrows, trying to suppress the smirk.
"Well, we took it a step farther. And he just can't get enough... gosh, it's so embarrassing." He said putting down his laptop once again.
Jungwon sat with his mouth open, he stared at Jake's face and then slowly scanned his body. He swallowed and asked out of pure curiosity.
"Did it hurt?"
"At first- huh?! Did you just assume I was the one getting it?"
"Jake, please." Jungwon's face expressed a grimace. He was annoyed by his friend's reaction as if the answer wasn't obvious."So..?"
"Eh," Jake took a deep breath, before continuing. "You get used to it, but if you're prepared well, and of course, you trust him, you will enjoy it."
"Mhm, so you've fallen for him?" Jungwon nodded teasingly towards his friend. Jake pursed his lips trying not to smile. "and how do you get prepared?" Jungwon asked curious, but immediately got hit with a pillow on his face.
