The Titans still gathered in the hangar bay of the tower with Starfire, Wally, Shuri, and Cyborg still trapped inside a hunk of melted metal that was formed around their bodies. Mayday watched nearby, sitting atop a large cargo crate with Beastboy, Kate, and Tim standing next to her. They waited as Artemis slowly cut away piece by piece using Shuri's Vibranium energy dagger, which luckily survived the EMP blast, but was still rather small, so it was taking a while.
"Will you hurry up and cut us loose already?" Wally complained.
"Hey, the EMP shut down all machines, remember? So this is all we've got right now." Artemis huffed in annoyance.
Wally gave an amused scoff at that. "Pfft, yeah believe me I'm well aware." He said, gesturing to Cyborg, who's lights and systems had also been shut down leaving him unmoving next to them. "Seeing him so still is like super creepy."
"Just remember to thank him for making such a sacrifice." Shuri hissed with an annoyed scowl, which caused Wally to fall silent with a awkward and apologetic expression.
"Just keep going, Artemis. You are doing well." Starfire assured with a warm smile.
Beastboy glanced over at Cyborg worriedly. "I was kinda hoping he'd be exempt from the whole all machines thing." He commented with a sigh. "But no."
Suddenly, they heard another voice enter from the air behind them.
"All machines present at the time, that is." The voice said.
The Titans collectively shared startled expressions, before glancing up to see none other than Red Tornado flying into the room.
"Red Tornado? The heck are you doing here?" Wally asked in confusion.
"I was on duty at the watchtower when I received a call from a rather worried sounding changeling." The caped robot replied as he approached the scene, eyeing the two deactivated robots and the Titans who were trapped.
The titans all shared a confused look, before glowering at Beastboy, only for him to give an innocent shrug. "What? I thought they looked the same." He replied.
"What has occurred?" Red Tornado asked curiously.
"We got a little visit from your family." Tim replied.
"Your particularly nasty family." Artemis added in annoyance.
"I was not aware I had relations." Tornado replied with a puzzled tone as he eyed the robots.
"Guess one of your parents was a real player, huh?" May joked sarcastically.
"I do not possess biological parents, child." Tornado stated simply.
May raised a brow at that with a puzzled expression. "I know, it was just... you know what? Nevermind." She waved it off.
Kate raised a brow, watching curiously as Red Tornado slowly approached the robots. "So you don't know anything about them?"
"Well we have certainly never met before." He replied simply. "That does not mean we could not have been created by the same person."
"So what are you gonna do with them?" Wally asked.
"I shall take them back to the watchtower to be studied more closely." Tornado replied. "After that, we should be able to deduce why it is they came here. Batman and some of the other league members are on their way to check on things."
May sighed, hearing that from across the room. "Hopefully mom and dad will get back before that." She mumbled to Beastboy, who silently snickered in response.
