I was deep in conversation with my associates, discussing the finer details of our latest project, but my attention was elsewhere. My eyes kept drifting to Aanya, standing across the room. She was breathtaking tonight, her dress hugging her curves perfectly, the soft fabric accentuating her natural elegance. Every movement she made was captivating, and I found myself struggling to maintain my focus.

For the past two weeks, I had been doing everything I could to keep my distance from her. The boundaries I had set were clear—our marriage was a façade, nothing more. But tonight, seeing her like this, I felt those carefully constructed walls crumbling. I couldn't help but notice the way her lips moved as she sipped her drink, the delicate curve of her neck, and the way her eyes sparkled under the dim lights. Desire stirred within me, a dangerous temptation that I knew I needed to resist.

Then, someone approached her—a man. I recognized the shift in her demeanour immediately. She wasn't at ease; something about their interaction unsettled her. My jaw clenched as a surge of possessiveness washed over me. Who the hell was he? And what gave him the right to make her uncomfortable?

Without thinking, I excused myself from the conversation and made my way over to her. Standing by her side, I slipped my arm around her waist, pulling her close. I needed her to know that she wasn't alone, that I was here. The man introduced himself as Raghav Khanna, claiming to be an old friend from London. His presence irked me. There was something in the way he looked at Aanya that I didn't like, something more than friendship.

"Hi, baby," I murmured, brushing a kiss against her cheek, my lips lingering just long enough to make my point. She stiffened at first, clearly caught off guard, but I didn't care. This Raghav needed to understand that Aanya was mine, no one else's.

As we exchanged pleasantries, my phone buzzed with a new message. Pulling it out discreetly, I glanced at the screen. The words made my blood run cold.

"She belongs to me and you can't do anything to it – R."

Confusion and anger swirled within me. The message didn't make sense. I had assumed the earlier threats were from Shikhar Rawat, part of his twisted game. But if Shikhar was dead, who was sending these messages? And why was Aanya being targeted? and who was R?

I slipped the phone back into my pocket, my mind racing. There were too many unanswered questions and too many unknowns. But one thing was clear—Aanya's safety was my top priority. I couldn't let anything happen to her.

Turning to her, I kept my voice calm but firm. "Aanya, let's go home. We've had enough of this party."

She looked up at me, sensing the seriousness in my tone. Without protest, she nodded, and we made our way out. Whoever was behind these messages, they were making a dangerous mistake. I would do whatever it took to protect Aanya, no matter the cost. She was mine to protect, and I wasn't about to let anyone take her away from me.
