Just a little bit after Max had changed back into her trench coat and leggings, James had fallen asleep. He was leaning against Max.  As she reluctantly allowed him to rest leaning on her.

He fell asleep soon afterwards "resting for a bit" as the bus ride was long and drawled out. She looked out the window taking in the views of the little world people call earth, as she hummed a bit to a tune that's been stuck in her head for days.

"What if he finds out?" A little voice in her head said. "What will he do if he finds out your a fire heart?" This voice often occurred in her head. She's not insane like other fireheart's, but would he hate her?

"Well he won't find out!" She blurted out, everyone on the bus looked at her.  As She smiled nervously as her face turned a bright red, her blushing completely obvious. She looked down avoiding their stares.

She leaned back in the chair still gazing as the scenery flew past them in dazed of colors and lights. Now they were out of the city and in a more rural area.

A fly buzzed around on the bus. "Shoo" Max said waving her hand. It landed on James's head. Should I hit it? Sophie wondered. It would wake up James. Wait what am I thinking I don't care if I wake him up. She slapped the fly on his head.

"Ow!" James shouted. "Why'd you do that?"

"There was a fly on your head." She said nonchalantly, Opening a magazine and reading it like nothing happened. Something caught her eye, It was a strange man carrying an axe. It was getting dark and the man seemed crazed, Max slapped James head again.

"Ow!"

"Look!" She said pointing but they had already driven past the man as if he wasn't there in the first place.

"I feel like your just finding excuses to hit me." James said as he rubbed the back of his head. His black hair in tangles and knots. He had big sleepy gray eyes that looked up at Sophie, reminding her of the past events with the little boy.

Sophie ran up to the bus driver. "Excuse me sir." She said. "Can you stop the bus?"

"Why?" The heavy man asked.

"Because there's a man outside."

"So?"

"Just stop the stop the da-  I mean darn bus!"

"Sorry, I can't now were on a main road."

"There's no one on this road what so ever! " She said waving her hand out to make a point.

"So? No means no young lady." He said back stubbornly.

"Fine!" She stomped to the back of the bus where James sat. She grabbed his arm and pulled him to the front. She pryed the bus door open.

"Are you crazy?!" The bus driver screeched.

"A bit!" She said. She held James and jumped out the door as she almost tripped but James saved her from her legs giving out to badly.
