That night I decided to do some research on Huh Yujin.

I expected to find something huge, something that could relate to the case.

Within an hour, I was disappointed and crushed.

I managed to find almost nothing more than the school she attended and the fact that she was heiress to a multi-million dollar company.

There was nothing else, as if the search engines were bribed to avoid exposing any important information.

There was the picture of Yunjin with her sister when they were teenagers. Yunjin in uniform, smiling happily at the camera, and the one with stoic expressions was undoubtedly Yujin.

Was it possible for a sister to have so much hatred for someone who was practically a part of her?

I heard that the twins, especially the identical twins, were very close.

What had set them apart?

Just then my thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.

I looked at the clock.

It was after eleven p.m.

Who could be at the door at this hour?

I looked through the peephole and saw that no one was there.

There was a knock again, this time more urgent and a little louder.

"Who is it?" I said without receiving an answer.

I grabbed my gun that was hidden under my pillow, loaded it and with my other hand opened the door.

"Whoa! Don't shoot! It's me"

My hand flew to my mouth. "Oh my God. Yunjin!"  She walked in and kicked the door shut.

Next, she reached for the gun in my hand and clicked the safety into place.

She smiled at me.

"I'm impressed that you're following my instructions"

I hugged her fiercely, my head on her neck, and my eyes watered.

She hugged me back. "I'm going to get mud all over you. I need a shower. Where's the bathroom?" I pointed in the direction of it.

I knew my eyes were still full of tears when I looked at her. Her hair had gotten longer, I could tell she hadn't washed it for days, the grease was quite evident.

Her face had lost its light and she looked tired in general.

"I also need clean clothes, please" she said, a second later she added. "And underwear if possible too"

I smiled. "I'll see what I can find"

"Perfect"

I put the clothes on the counter while Yunjin took a twenty minute bath. When she came out of the bath, she looked better and cleaner.

She smelled like my shampoo.

She slowly started to get dressed and when she realized I was watching, she winked at me.

It was getting warm in here.

I turned on the air conditioner.

She managed to look fucking hot in one of my brother's shirts, which she folded up the sleeves, and a pair of pants that fit above her ankles.

"What time does your brother get home from work?"

"He has a night shift today. He won't be back until tomorrow morning"

Her eyes sparkled with mischief.

I ran a hand through my hair wishing I had at least worn something sexier, like silk. Instead of the T-shirt and shorts I was wearing, Yunjin crossed me and walked over to the refrigerator.

She opened it and pulled out a carton of milk which she gulped down and then proceeded to devour cookies from the box on the kitchen counter.

I laughed. "I made dinner, would you like to sit down and eat?"

"Oh, yes, that would be nice"

She settled into the dining room and ate the mashed potatoes, gravy and grilled cheese sandwiches like a woman who had limited access to food for months. She must've been hungry for a long time.

Yunjin saw me watching her and pointed to the almost clean plate. "This is good. My marriage offer still stands"

"So you want to marry me just for the food" I decided to tease her.

She shook her head. "For everything else that comes with the food. Your smile, Chae gives me hope that there's still room for normalcy in my fucking life"

And the room filled with silence.

She hadn't been sarcastic at that moment, she had spoken the truth.

"You look thin, haven't you been eating, living alone in the cabin?"

She let out a dry laugh, taking a sip of wine "You have no idea. After that accident, I was under Dr. Yang's care. I went to the cabin a week later to find it ransacked, literally trashed"

"the FBI and the police"

She shook her head. "Sure, the police arrived, but only after the place was turned upside down. Someone else must have beaten the police"

It wasn't hard to connect the dots.

"The killer"

"I think leaving that place was a good decision. I'm sure he would have left me alive, but you?" Yunjin looked at me in anguish.

"I don't want to think what he would have done to you if you were still in that cabin with me"

"And then it would have been easier to put that murder on your charges too"

"That's right. You wouldn't have been alive to tell them otherwise"

It was so strange to have Yunjin in my house, sitting at my table, chatting.

A few months ago, I never would have imagined that I would fall in love with the most notorious criminal in the history of ForestVille Hospital and the funny thing is, I felt safer than I did before.

I decided to ask her the question that had been haunting me for a while "Do you think your sister killed all those people?"

Instead of answering that question, she said. "Ever since we were little girls, Yujin and I had been competing against each other. Whether it was grades, sports, affection from our parents, conquests. We would always try to beat each other up over something and then, as we got older, it would get out of hand" Yunjin looked away, as if her memory was disturbing her.

"What happened?" I asked curiously.

"We were competing for the throne"
she said sarcastically. "The ownership of the company. You see, only one of us was going to be sitting in that chair and our father wanted us to tear our throats out"

"That's horrible, why would your father want that?"

She laughed.

"Because that was my father's revenge on my mother."
