"You should take a break,Yoona. You've been doing this since dawn."
Jungkook called out Yoona, who has been busy all this week, arranging and re-arranging everything for the wedding...the pressure of the upcoming wedding weighed heavily on her.

"I don't have time kook"
She said as she carefully folded the bride's hanbok, ensuring the colors were flawless, by gently tucking them in the wardrobe."
"There is so much to prepare, I don't know, will I be able to complete all this by tomorrow or not...I want everything to be perfect. It's my kook's wedding, after all. " She added...

Jungkook's cheeks flushed faintly at her words. He rubbed the back of his neck, offering her a small, shy smile. "Okay, okay. You can do everything, but at least take a 15 minutes break. Please?"

Yoona let out an exasperated sigh before a small laugh escaped her lips. "Ugh, fine. Fifteen minutes."

The two sat in a companionable silence for a few moments... then, Yoona broke the quiet, her voice hesitant. "Kook... if you don't mind me asking... why did you say yes to the proposal? You know about Taehyung's condition, right?"

A bittersweet smile touched his lips as he exhaled deeply. "Yes," he said simply. After a pause, he added, "I want to help him. I think they saw something in me... something that made them believe I could handle this."

"But still," Yoona pressed, her voice soft but curious, "marriage is a lifelong commitment. Aren't you scared?"

"Of course, I am," Jungkook admitted "But I believe in him. I believe he can manage it, and I want to be there to help him. If I turned away because of his struggles, what kind of person would that make me?"

Yoona was silent for a moment...then, she said, "You're a good person, Jungkook. I just hope he sees that and treasures you for it."

Jungkook smiled faintly, a hint of sadness in his eyes. "I hope so too, Yoona. I really do."

after a moment of silence "You're too good for this world, Kook. I swear, if he doesn't appreciate you..." she trails off, shaking her head...

Jungkook grins before replying..."Then I'll come running to you, right?"

Yoona laughs, shoving his shoulder lightly "Oh, please...I'd make your life ten times harder. Don't even think about it."
They both laughed, the sound breaking the tension for a brief moment.

"But really, Kook. If it ever becomes too much... if you ever need someone to lean on, you know I'm here, right?" Yoona said, as her tone became serious, with concern...

Jungkook nodded, his expression sincere "I know, Yoona. And that means more to me than you'll ever know."

Yoona nodded slowly and hugged him..."I just... I want you to be happy, Kook. That's all I've ever wanted."

"I know," Jungkook said, his voice soft, hugging her tightly...

Yoona smiled softly..."Good.Now go get some rest. "

Jungkook nodded and stands up..."Only if you promise to do the same. No more work for today okay? "

Yoona agreed mocking a salute "Yes, sir. Now go before I change my mind."

As they both parted ways to their respective rooms, the earlier conversation lingered in their minds, leaving a sense of warm and understanding...

In Namjoon’s Room ~

The neatly organized desk and the spines of books stacked meticulously on the shelves.Namjoon sat at the edge of his bed. His eyes were fixed on the floor, but his mind was elsewhere. The room was quiet, suffocatingly so. The ticking of the clock echoed louder than ever.

He stood and walked to the desk, picking up a framed photo—a younger Jungkook, smiling brightly beside Namjoon. His grip tightened around the frame.
"Was it the right decision to marry him to Taehyung? "

"The Kims will take care of him," Namjoon muttered,"they had promised me they would keep my brother happy and save. But, what if something happens...what if..." He cut himself off, shaking his head violently. "No, no. I can’t think like that. The Kims are good people. They’ll take care of him. They’ll... they’ll love him.
He placed the photo back on the desk with a trembling hand.

"Be loved, Jungkook," Namjoon said softly, his voice cracking under the weight of unshed tears. "Be happy... That’s all I ever wanted."

For a long time, Namjoon lay there, staring at the ceiling, his thoughts circling the same unanswerable questions. As sleep slowly claimed him, one final thought lingered in his heart—a fragile hope that he had made the right choice.
